They tried to give redemption arcs to the older characters too cheaply. Still as much as I didn't like the grandpa he was a very interesting character. The fact that he wanted to die alone listening to his favorite piece of music sums him up pretty well.
I loved PO and JYs's bromance, but I could never buy into the fact that JY was a musical virtuoso. I don't know, something about his acting when he was playing or conducting felt awkward and didn't sell it for me. Last episode wasn't quite satisfactory for me, but overall it was a deeply moving and memorable drama.
What has changed Jeongyo to make him become so much more confident? Also I don't understand why he's so vengeful towards Pio. Is it just because he said they weren't so close in the interview?

Look, have you watched the Glory? Park Yeon Jin the main antagonist in it is terrifying as a villain. She won't be forgotten easily because she made such a strong impression and she was a well-written hateful character. Kusanagi? Not so much. Again this my opinion, you can keep yours and I'll keep mine. Also, Kdrama is huge globally right now, so you cannot call it niche anymore.

This has nothing to do with Western vs Kdrama world. I am a Korean myself. I'm purely giving my take on Kusanagi as a character and the actress' portrayal. I think some great villain portrayals in other Kdramas are found in Bloodhounds, Flower of Evil, Park Yeon Jin in the Glory and many others. Also in the Marvel/DC world there are plenty of villains who I deem pathetic. So don't give me this Western vs Kdrama bullcrap. Again, you're entitled to your opinion, but you won't find too many who agree with you.

Wow, you're entitled to your opinions, but there's a good reason why Joker is a "beloved" villain, whereas Kusanagi will soon be forgotten. By the way I'm talking about Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker in the Dark Knight that's terrifying, not Joaquin Phoenix's version. I guess what I'm also saying is that the actress who played Kusanagi was trying too hard to appear delulu when the character is not delulu enough. As a secondary villain she would be okay, but the final villain? For me, a good villain needs to be intimidating even if delusional. The Joker is a great villain because he terrifies you shitless though he's utterly delusional. But if you loved the show and Kusanagi, then good for you.
Kusanagi is one of the most annoying villains ever for me. Her portrayal was so overdone at times it looked cartoonish. She convinced herself as an intelligent mastermind and an intimidating presence, but i couldn't see it. Great production value but lackluster villains and storytelling made it meh for me in the end.
