I finally picked up 2521 again after almost a year, and dare I say, I've become her fan. There's just something about her screen presence that instantly lights up my day.
Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born is still my favorite drama of hers. I'm currently watching Alienoid, and the more of her filmography I explore, the more I find myself drawn to her and appreciate her beauty.
I'm officially a fan now. Kim tae ri, I'm looking forward to your upcoming projects, and I hope to see you receive many more awards. You're so beautiful and incredibly talented
I get your frustration. Those opening visuals were distracting enough to pull me right out of the story, which…
Yes the execution! I actually really like this concept and I honestly think it has the potential to be award worthy. But the heavy use of AI kinda threw me off. The setting matters a lot in this kind of drama. Take Mr. Sunshine, for example. They did such a great job with the visuals and making the setting feel real. If they’re gonna use AI they should at least make it look more realistic and less animated. The backgrounds just look so fake and some looks very AI generated.
I am going to write my impressions a bit later (there are good and bad ones). But I have a question to the viewers…
I can speak japanese but I can't say I'm fluent. They are speaking japanese well, the diction is good. However, Kim You Jung english scene was hard to understand.
I disagree. They actually had an entire village as a set called 'Sunshine Village' (or sounds something like that).…
I am not talking about the village scene. The first few minutes of ep 1 is obviously AI. Take a look at the background, the establishments, and antique house.
I’m not totally against AI. AI is already here and I understand its use in VFX, as we’ve seen in Hollywood movies. But in this drama, it feels like they’re relying too heavily on AI. It’s ridiculously obvious and it takes away from the overall quality of the drama. I’m a little disappointed because I actually like this historical concept.
Agent Kim Reactivated also used a lot of AI, so ridiculous. And this one too 🤦♀️the background is AI, the house is AI, the establishments are AI, what is happening in kdramas rn.
sorry! And sadly, he's an A- or S-list actor while GYJ is definitely not.
MAA is literally a nugu agency. What backing are you talking about? If they really had backing all of their artists would have it too like her.
And how many times can you call it luck? One time might be luck, but when it keeps happening over and over it's called hard work.
Go Youn Jung has consistently chosen great projects back to back. She landed most of those roles because she auditioned for them and has a great eye for good scripts.
Girl, back off. You sound so insecure and jealous. People like you aren't worth anyone's attention. Go Youn Jung will be successful regardless. You can keep crying.
The day Go Youn Jung stops having haters is the day I'd actually be worried. So keep it up.

Lol she has already been nominated and she's building her career toward becoming a critically acclaimed actress. Just look at her resume, it speaks for itself. She has consistently chosen strong projects with no misses.
One thing you forgot is that she's only 7 years into her career. Do you expect her to become critically acclaimed that quickly? In just 7 years, she has already won Best New Actress and has now been nominated for Best Actress at the BDSA.
If you watch her interviews, it's clear that she's intelligent. Being a cinephile has helped her understand the anatomy of a script, giving her a great eye for choosing projects. She isn't like many other actresses. So I would not agree with you if you said she's "just another popular actress."
We all know that she's considered a beauty standard in Korea. If she were like many other visual actresses like you said, she could have chosen countless romcoms to become even more popular. But instead, she made her own path. She didn't rely on romcoms or fan service.
Even in ensemble casts, she stood out. During Moving, she even surpassed many of the veteran cast members in buzz and recognition. That drama became her biggest breakthrough and it's actually rare for an actress to gain that level of recognition through a non romance genre. One other example I can think of is Jung Ho-yeon, who stole the spotlight as Sae-byeok in Squid Game.
If you think about it, most of the actresses who are popular and mainstream today became famous through romcoms (I could name so many examples). Go Youn Jung could have easily taken that route because she's beautiful, but she chose to make her own path instead.
So no, I don't agree with your point. Go Youn Jung isn't like the others. She's serious about her craft, and you can clearly see that through the projects she chooses.
A masterpiece. Watching it again is even better because of the dialogues. This is the kind of drama where you don't want to miss a single scene because every word they say is deep and meaningful. Dong Man and Eun Ah's love story is the best
I really like this authors work. Infact i love her. She is my most anticipated author. So maybe i was expecting…
I respectfully disagree. I think this is Park Hae Young’s best work among the three. My Mister is my all time favorite kdrama when it comes to slice of life but We Are All Trying Here topped it for me. This drama is so good that I can’t miss a single scene because every dialogue has substance and I can relate to it so much more than her other two dramas.
I like this one more because it’s not boring, no deaths to make you cry, the story is not dragging and the dark comedy makes the drama more enjoyable to watch compared to her other dramas. I personally loved the ending too. They wrapped it up neatly. It didn’t feel rushed it was just enough to leave the audience satisfied.
But that’s your opinion and I respect it. I just wanted to express my opinion too.

they can't afford to shoot in real places now?

My reply is simply to let you know that Go Youn Jung is not someone to be belittled. She's much more than what you think you know.
So read my reply carefully and stop spewing gibberish.
