Agreed that the leads have no chemistry even though I like both actors. She's cold and cries a lot, and neither shows longing in their eyes, especially Qingyi. I do see a lot of suspicion though. It might partially be the fault of the director. I really loved the actress who played the mother in her scenes with Qingyi. Both the stabbing and the drunkenness. Fire.

That's not how it was advertised. Bait and switch, IMO. I fell for those final posters with them and all the opulence and all those roses on the table and the fabulous moody lighting. Not even close. Good advice though.
