Amazing actors ? Poor edit
First: I absolutely adore Tutor and Yim and I think they are more talented than some of the more famous actors, though I'd never name names because that's cruel. This would have had a higher rating for me if it wasn't for the very awkward, bad cuts from obvious censoring. I would have loved it as a wholesome slice of life romance and I'd have loved it as a super spicy romance but it ended up being neither, just some strange spot between. The director it had and the fact it's freaking TutorYim who create some of the hottest nc scenes in all of BL means it was probably very hot and steamy and then got ripped apart in editing to make it suitable for a lower age rating and that kinda destroyed it. It was constant build ups and the delicious tension we're used to seeing from TutorYim but then awkward cut straight into the next scene as if you accidentally skipped it which made it anticlimactic over and over again. Again, its a slice of life and would have worked great as a wholesome, family friendly romance if thats what they'd wanted and id have loved that or it could have been a super spicy passionate romance setting our screens on fire and id have loved that. However, it seems like they filmed the latter and then tried to squeeze it into the former harder than the step sisters tried to squeeze into cinderellas glass slipper.Was this review helpful to you?
Stunning.
This is the most beautiful show I've seen in so many years. It's visually stunning from the fairytale set to the gorgeous costume design. This type of story may have been told before but the way it was done here kept me captivated from the first moment to the last. I got lost in the world of Emmaly. This was actually my first true dip into live action BL drama. I've always read my stories but this show has me now fully immersed into this world. The acting was breathtaking for me from Zee and Nunew. I feel like I could watch it without subtitles and see every detail of the story between their eyes. Their chemistry is like nothing I've ever seen before and made me feel like I was falling in love along with them. I hugged my partner a little tighter everytime they fell a little deeper. Not only did they make me a fan of the genre but now a huge fan and working my way through Thai media, a Domundi fan eagerly devouring all their content piece by piece. The Next Prince is addictive perfection and ZeeNunew are my favourite discovery of the decade.Was this review helpful to you?
