I feel like some people took the lakorn's title too literally and think the whole point of the series is revenge. But it’s actually about a complex character who used to be a scumbag in the past and was partly to blame for his family’s deaths, about how karma works, and how their deaths were retribution for his actions. The remaining years he spent living like a corpse are also a price he pays consciously. All those moments with Jay and the money, even the nickname Jay gave him - everything revolves around retribution. And most of the time, the focus is actually on Sun's psychological transformation. Yes, revenge is one of the storylines, but events developed slowly in both the novel and the manhwa, and the same goes for the series. If you came strictly for revenge and aren’t used to revenge being a dish best served cold, then this lakorn probably isn't for you. And stop attributing some kind of genius to Sun, he's just an ordinary guy, a former thug, nowhere near Jay's strategic mindset. But that's exactly where his charm lies.
