I love MaxNat, but what even is this series? I honestly can’t help but drop it.

Their acting doesn’t feel like it has improved much since their 2020 series. It feels like we’re watching the same performances all over again, and the company didn’t even bother to give them a better plot to work with. Honestly, this story could’ve been wrapped up in just five episodes.

For a comedy series, it’s not even funny. The humor feels forced, like they’re trying way too hard to make the audience laugh instead of letting the comedy flow naturally. It’s supposed to feel smooth and effortless, not awkward and exaggerated.

And the NC scenes? They’re the only scenes that feel somewhat consistent. But since they’re NC scenes, I don’t even know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Like, is that really the only thing this series has going for it?

Don’t even get me started on the camera placements. Why does it feel like some of the characters are talking directly to the camera instead of having a natural conversation with their co-stars? It makes the interactions feel awkward and takes me out of the scene.

Honestly, I’m just disappointed. I expected more from MaxNat, and I wish the company had given them a stronger script, better direction, and a story that actually did them justice. No wonder the ratings seem so low. It feels like the popularity of the cast is doing most of the heavy lifting, because without MaxNat’s fanbase, I’m not sure this series would have much going for it.

I love MaxNat, but loving the actors doesn’t mean I have to love every project they put out. They deserved a better series than this.
