good story, beautiful cast but something wasn't quite right!
I love Wang Churan and I’m a huge fan, but I kept watching and thinking this role genuinely felt like it was written for Zhao Lusi. From the styling and outfits to the overall execution and emotional tone of the female lead, Zhao Lusi would have absolutely owned this character and brought a different kind of charm and depth. It’s such a shame we missed what could have been an incredible opportunity to see Zhao Lusi and Zhang Linghe together on screen, because their pairing would have been amazing. Perhaps that pairing would have salvaged the show.Was this review helpful to you?
