started this drama thinking murong qingyi would be a redflag but turns out ren susu was the red flag all along. women in male-dominated fields, we love to see it!
How disappointing this drama is becoming, when it has already been given so much leeway for everything else that…
I get why some people don't like the flashbacks, but the premise of the show is literally based on the FL killing herself three years ago and disappearing. Both the audience and the characters are finding out in real time what happened during those missing three years, so of course there are going to be flashbacks. Personally, I've found them critical to the plot. So much context is given in them, and when they interrupt the present-day events, I think they only add to our understanding of the situation rather than distract from it.
im so so happy that the script hasnt fallen into the trap of making ren susu a damsel in distress, it could have very easily turned into mqy coming into to save the day. but instead theyve kept the revenge centered to ren susu and the orphange girls which i love. yes mqy has been there to save susu but she has really been the driving force of her revenge plot. its a small thing but its much appreciated!!
kdramas: 2 episodes a week cdramas: 2 episodes a day and yet i still feel greedy that the episodes dont come fast enough. 1 ep a day is especially cruel 😭😭
1k ratings, but we aren't even halfway through the drama.....this is laughable. And many of the 'reviews' posted claim to have watched all 33 episodes lol. How can we take these ratings seriously if people haven't even bothered to watch up to the halfway mark, let alone finish the drama.
tbh there are some valid criticisms related to the post-production editing of the drama but i have to disagree with the comments about the plot being bad or confusing.
the drama plot is pretty easy to follow and is well paced and doing an excellent job of giving us glimpses of qingyi’s past, unraveling the motivations for susu’s revenge AND all the while introducing the interconnectedness of the Li, Huo and Murong families.
the reason each episode is feeling so short is partly because the plot is well-paced and the writing is doing a good job of unraveling the story layer by layer. it doesnt feel rushed or slow imo.
have been devouring the episodes and left wondering how the episodes have already ended….
this is a drama that proves never judge too quickly, those who have made their conclusions based only on the first few episodes are truly missing out. i feel that the ratings will definitely deter people from tuning in but thats such a disservice to a pretty enjoyable drama overall.
those who have stayed 😂heres to hoping we get a happy ending
episode 8 onwards there has been a noticeable and much needed improvement in the editing and camerawork. swapping out the ai intro has also helped. the first few episodes were definitely rough with some questionable camera work, cgi and editing but having watched up to ep 11 the drama is definitely finding its footing. the plot seems to be unraveling nicely and the pacing seems digestible. looking forward to the remainder of the episodes.
