Editorials A lot of hype, but ultimately an average drama.
Social media gave this drama a huge boost, so I had high expectations, but I’m slightly disappointed.
It was missing something. The beginning was pretty good, but things started to drag around episodes 20–30 (as happens with most Chinese dramas); the pace picked up again towards the end, yet the final episode felt underwhelming.
The overall chemistry between the female and male leads was on the level of a casual "Hi, how are you?"... If a drama aims to portray a believable romance, then the scenes themselves need to be believable.
What really thrilled me were the ML's fight scenes. Perfect. But there were too few of them.
The rest is just average, unfortunately.
