Chen Wan's actor looks very much human and pretty handsome in lives. They did him wrong in over-filtering or editing…
I understand this point about making him look like a cosplayer but I wouldn't have any problem with this if the acting was good. He's very stiff and very bad at acting. Movements could be robotic but even his expression was non-existent. And I saw their lives and I'll have to disagree, he very much looks like someone who had done works on his face so much that the makeup made it even more robotic and plastic. Anyway it doesn't matter everything could be overlooked if the acting was good! He reminds me of Dunk from Thai bl who's still bad at acting after so many years.

The story and overall production isn't that bad. Yeah it's a bummer that they used too much AI but I can understand because of the low financial support. But one thing I really can't get past is the acting and overall manner of Chen Wan's actor. He looks like a robot, talks like a robot, acts like a robot, even walks like a robot. And it seems he had done too much plastic surgery on his face that he literally seems like a plastic Ken doll. I could also get past that if not for the stiff robotic acting of his. I would rather production house never adapt any novel if the adaptation is this much low quality. At least give us good acting. Chen Wan's actor is too much of a robot. They ruined the good novel.
