Novel is happy for the leads, as to if the drama will follow that hard to say … they change a good bit at this…
thank youuu sm. i think if there is a happy ending for main leads in the novel they wouldn't change it to a sad ending in the drama to avoid furious netizens. i'm gonna gamble on this one and i'm gonna start watching it. thank you once again <3
ok, i'm kind of a veteran at reading bl and omega verse ff but watching it on a big screen is VERY different. i laughed my ass off for almost the entirety of the first episode and i love the edits on tiktok. 10/10 i'm gonna reccommend it to my non-bl-omega-verse friends asap.

i really want to start this drama but i'm not a big fan of sad and/or open endings (especially if I cannot be mentally prepered by watching the ending). I know how the novel ends (i briefly checked it) but sometimes in chinese adaptations they change so much that in the end it isn't really an adaptation but more like a new tv-show inspired by the novel (recent example: mo li/ the first jasmine).
this questions is ofc directed at people who read the original novel and are currently watching "the eternal fragrance" so they know what major plots were changed or omitted in this drama.
