It piqued up at 16 when he fought briefly in a disguise even though he's still poisoned and don't have much time left. Di Feishang has realized that the Li Xianyi he fought had already been struggling with the most deadly poison in his body. So he's determined to treat him and fight him again but we don't know when that will happen. From the way I see it, I don't think we'll ever Li in peak performance.

Honestly, I don't think I'll ever come back to this drama. I'll just try to finish it at least.

I'm at episode 10, and I'm regretting while I even started this. At least, they should have included some sneak peaks into his past life and achievement—especially his fight scenes. The only compelling fight is at the beginning which he lost because he had being poisoned.

All we see is a weak man who has become a shadow of himself. And the producers didn't spare any clips of his past bravery and skill before he was injured. The only special attribute about his present life is his wit. Everything else is just hearsay and stories. It just feels slow, boring and lame.

I'm still watching with the hope that he'll recover soon or perform something incredibly worthy of his reputation. I'll try and get to 20. If the same pattern continues, I'm out.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
I think the painter was completely loyal to the Empress Dowager, and she took advantage of his loyalty and gift…
The dragon painting disappearing probably has more to do with chemicals than any other thing. Ye Li was a top student from Lishan mountain. She's extremely smart.

The consort hails from a very powerful family, which was why she was sent to the palace in the first place for marriage. The Royal family doesn't just marry anybody. It's no surprise that the Empress wanted to keep her close. Even the evil Marquis commented about the power the Consort's father had that gave her the boldness to leave.

The part about the poem is a little cryptic to me, I'll have to watch again to see if there hidden clues.

After so long, I'm still not over the divorce arc and find myself thing about it someday or another day. The way…
Put yourself in his shoes and you'll understand. . He lost not only his brother but thousands of his fellow comrades died because of that decree. Although I still think he overreacted with the divorce letter.

He could have just told her that he'll need some time to figure things out while she remains in his mansion. Instead, the crook head wrote her a divorce letter. Thankfully, his love prevailed, else, he wouldn't have discovered the undelivered letters which later led him to Lishan

great fight scenes, wonderful acting, spectacular characters... it's definitely worth it. love it.
The only thing special about the series are the fight scenes. They were the only reason why I kept watching

Couldn't have been much of an adventure if they hadn't all acted silly and clueless repeatedly. Your enemies want…
I don't have issue with him not killing people since he's a government official, but everything became boring. After he was first treated.

I'm at ep 21 and I think it has indeed become a bit boring. (If not for the 3 main cast, I might have dropped…
Exactly. The intro fights were captivating. And the fight at the ship yard too. I was even expecting some romance considering how both of them met. Such a disappointment. I struggled to finish it.

Bai lu carried this whole drama , wish we got to see more fighting scenes from her character . Male lead didnt…
Come on, he already knew. Ye Li herself didn't know who she was completely because of hallucination sickness. We could assume that after she was cured, she already told him the truth because he already observed that she had practiced martial arts.

Anyone understands the whole thing about the hibiscus? I know it’s the Empress Dowager’s name…. but not…
I think the painter was completely loyal to the Empress Dowager, and she took advantage of his loyalty and gift to kind of cajole and woo the consort into serving her the Empress. With the Empress' power, she could have saved the painter, but she allowed him to be executed.

After Ye Li painted the dragon and rain fell. The consort later realized that there was a motive behind everything It was all premeditated. That was when she decided that the Empress is one who couldn't be trusted.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
Omg… that episode be on how YeLi got out of being the prime suspect of killing the Cangbei Princess is so so…
Come on now, she was almost killed in prison. Isn't that enough proof that someone wants to silence her??
The only evidence that proved that she killed the princess was Su's testimony.

The official in charge was a neutral officer. He wasn't a lackey of the Marquis. He obviously felt something off about the whole incident. There were soldiers hiding in secret when she encountered Su. The officer knows Ye Li wouldn't escape because she would only be implicating herself and her husband who wasn't even in the city or aware of what his wife was passing through. Even so, he took soldiers with him. He gave her a chance.

Seeing some reviews defending Prince Li, which is interesting. I understand their point you know he lost everything…
Unfortunately, we live in a world where most people believe that the end justifies the means.

Aww….. I really liked Cangbei Princess! And her romantic arc with Feng is so sweet and pure. Such a pity.
Unfortunately, they didn't get to express their affections clearly before she was brutally killed.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
Love both the mainleads' acting, but this drama is some parts boring and kinda all over the place.I feel like…
What are you even saying? This drama was pretty well done. Of course, it bears the female-centric attributes, but the that didn't obscure the male characters from shining through.

Yao wasn't a weak man or cripple by birth. There's a story behind his predicament which is tied to Ye Li's guilt and quest for revenge. Ye Li's smartness and skill wasn't a coincidence, she was the granddaughter of the head of Lishan mountain and a top student.

The subplots weren't too complicated. They just need to be unraveled because they're all connected to the acts and callousness of the Empress Dowager and her devil Marquis. For example, Ye Li's hallucination sickness it will make you wonder what kind of trauma did she face at Lishan that made her think her maid was still alive and with her everytime even though she's been dead??

The only plot that I can seem to really understand is the death of everybody at Lishan except Ye Li. It's just a little farfetched. We have no idea what the disease was or what caused it

I did not expect this drama to be as controversial as it seems to be in the reviews and comments. I personally…
It was actually a great drama. It was slow paced but good. I was waiting to be bored but I wasn't.
