I also found the first half a lot weaker. It's such a shame because people will drop the show before the show gets really good and they'll miss out on peak tearjerker moments. They easily could've cut out so much bloat from the first half and add far more story for the second half and the ending. It would've been far more engaging that way. Some people have mentioned this below but seriously what happened to Chuay after Phop and Klao's demise? What about Phop's parents? What about Kaew and Jom? I know they're happy and all in the next life but the past life storyline feels a bit inconclusive to me because of this.
Plus, the finale focuses so much on trying to wrap up the story that it ultimately sacrifices a lot of the romance aspect. There could be far more happy moments between the couple so that we could genuinely appreciate the romance NetJJ portrayed for the characters.
