I secretly hoping there would be a little more romance between the two main leads. The chemistry between them was interesting, and there were many moments where I felt their relationship could have developed into something deeper.

However, the drama chooses to focus more on their growth as doctors, their friendship, and the emotional challenges they face rather than romance. Although I was a little disappointed that the romantic side was not explored more, I still appreciated the direction because it made the story feel more realistic. Their bond was shown through trust, support, and understanding rather than typical romantic scenes.

The acting from the entire cast was absolutely amazing. Yamashita Tomohisa, Aragaki Yui, Toda Erika, Asari Yosuke, and Higa Manami all delivered convincing performances. Each character had their own struggles and personality, making it easy to become invested in their journey. The emotional scenes, especially those involving life-or-death situations, were handled with great sincerity and made the drama feel powerful.

What I liked most about Code Blue is that it doesn't only show the heroic side of doctors. It also shows their fears, mistakes, pressure, and the emotional weight they carry when dealing with patients. The medical cases were intense, but the human stories behind them were what made the drama memorable.

Overall, Code Blue is an excellent medical drama with outstanding performances and strong character development. While I personally wished there was a little more romance between the two main leads, the incredible acting and emotional storytelling more than made up for it. This is a drama that proves a great story doesn't always need romance to create a meaningful connection.
