In reality, what the male lead is doing is toxic, manipulative, suffocating, and infuriating. Doing this to an adult woman—never leaving her alone, following her wherever she goes, and tagging along everywhere—isn't love, it's control. It's illegal and constitutes harassment, especially when she tries to escape and he tracks her through her phone's GPS. On top of that, it feels smothering; they treat her like an object they can just move around and control as they please. I didn't like the male lead's character at all. They disguised toxic behavior as something romantic. I'm not saying the actor didn't perform well, but his character was absolute garbage.
