When did you ever gentle, Mr. Vacuum Cleaner?
Let me start with the introduction—I'm always hooked by it! Even when rewatching for the third time already, I couldn't find myself skipping the intro once. Plus, the background music was used so well throughout the entire series.
As for the acting?
Absolutely superb!
I knew Park Si-woo was an idol (though I'm not entirely sure if he still is), and I had actually watched some of his performances online before. So, seeing him act here is just so crazy in the best way possible.
The genre of this series isn't completely rare, but you get totally invested because it is so well executed. I only wish they had made a special or additional episode, because I felt like the reveal of Tak as the murderer in the final episode was a bit rushed. On top of that, Chaeha and Taeseon's confession and finally getting together felt way too short.
Chaeha and Taeseon (played by Si-woo and Yoon-sik in real life) have great chemistry, and I'm really hoping they get a new project together. But then again, it's not very common in Korean BL for actors to star in a second project as a pair; I've noticed that once a show finishes and all the fan meetings and promotions wrap up, that's usually it. It's not like the Thai industry, where actors frequently do multiple projects with the same screen partner.
So I'm not keeping my hopes too high for a future reunion pairing. Even though they've shared online that they'd want to work together again, it really all comes down to opportunity and timing.
And can we talk about Ha-neul?
I find him so cute and adorable! Sadly, his character turned out to be an accomplice, but I'm really hoping to see him in other projects too because he did a great job portraying his role.
Now, the kisses?
Taeseon definitely lives up to his name as a vacuum cleaner! 😅
As for the NC scenes, even though they were cut (sadly, they are), the overall intensity and shock value of the moments mean you won't feel too frustrated about what was left out.
Overall, I really like the series. It's definitely something I can easily go back to and rewatch whenever I want a comforting, gripping ride!
