are the writers incompetent or do they just hate people?
Yes, the acting is good, so is the music, but did anyone ever tell these writers that they created a world were everyone ends up as victims of sadistic monsters and the only people who would truly enjoy heaven are selfish assholes? The moment you realize how the afterlife works here, it would take a moron not to notice that. You will eventually be thrown in hell, either you got 6 strikes in heaven (which is guaranteed if you are there for eternity) or you chose reincarnation and risk hell again, where you cannot get out unless they eradicate you from existence. And what you see there... lets say it like this: They condemn religious cult leaders, but that is how this comes across, like the canon of a sadistic religious cult. The show throws almost everyone into hell and, once again, no you cannot get out of it. And we get ridiculous justifications for all these tortures (which seems to contain a dose of sexism) and even if that somehow doesn't bother you: They make it clear that hell, a place of alleged just punishment, lets the worst offenders live for many decades so they can sin even more and hell can "punish them" even more, aka the writers seem to have been fine with he worst criminals hurting people for a long time. That is in no way a just system, that is just an excuse for torture. And its not as if hell (or heaven) even follow their own rules. Inconsistencies are the norm in this show and it seems to rely on cheap emotional tactics instead of a compelling story. This show is in no way worth watching, not when it contains such evil messages. Was this review helpful to you?
