Honestly, I think Dean is quite a reserved person. I don't think he's ever shared much about his feelings or personal struggles with Ten. Ten might not have even met his family. Yes, Ten does seem quite selfish, but I think that's just the nature of their friendship. And the fact that Dean turned to AI for advice instead of Ten in the previous episode says a lot.

What I understood is that Dean found out about his dad but never talked about it with anyone. I don't think that he told his mom about it.

As for me, it's really good. You can give it a try. You can watch trailer and decide for yourself.
