Dr Pun is too kind and forgiving but at least Moth recognized he went too far with that comment 🥲 Also Moth…
But we all judge people based on first impressions. Moth had only met Ten twice. At the club, Ten was shy and gave off kind of a hikikomori vibe. Then, at the blind date, he was insecure and asked Moth that pointless question. Moth didn’t even want to answer at first because he’s Pun’s friend and doesn’t know anything about Pun’s romantic interests.

I feel like this is about the traits Moth saw in Ten, that he was insecure, shy, and indecisive. Remember the question Ten asked Moth at the blind date? I think that’s simply how Moth see him.
A red flag isn’t a personality. And I think that’s one of the things that feels different here from what we’re…
A red flag is a warning sign, not a synonym for abuse or deliberate control. Someone doesn’t have to be consciously trying to gaslight, manipulate or dominate their partner for their behavior to be a red flag. Insecurity, avoidance, jealousy, ghosting, poor communication, unclear intentions and commitment issues can all become red flags precisely because they can make a relationship unhealthy, regardless of intent.
And I never said Dean or Moth are abusive people. That’s the whole point. They’re flawed people whose insecurities create unhealthy relationship patterns. Dean approaches Moth with an ulterior motive, struggles with commitment and clarity, gets jealous and has anger/communication issues. Moth uses Dean for his own purpose at first, withdraws, ghosts, avoids difficult conversations and struggles with commitment too. None of that requires either of them to be deliberately controlling.
Also, “a red flag uses that behavior to control and dominate” is simply too narrow a definition. Control and domination are major red flags, but they’re not the definition of a red flag.
A red flag is anything that can signal potential problems in a relationship.
finally caught up with this, and there are only 2 episodes left but can we PLEASE tone down Est’s makeup 😭…
A red flag isn’t a personality. And I think that’s one of the things that feels different here from what we’re used to seeing in BL. Red flags are traits we would actually consider warning signs in real relationships, and both Dean and Moth have several of them. In real life you would never want to have a relationship with both of them.
Dean: love bombing, ulterior motives, push-pull behavior, unclear relationship status, jealousy, anger issues, poor communication, emotional avoidance and commitment issues. Moth: emotional unavailability, avoidance, using Dean for his own purpose at first, poor communication, ghosting, commitment issues.
