Pointless

Overhyped production. The formula is the same as in so many of the director’s other shows, with the feeling that they’re trying too hard to make something out of very little. The result is a pointless, monotonous show with no truly memorable moments to justify its runtime. It’s a shame, because the cast members are quite charismatic. Before watching, I only knew Dowoon, so getting to know the others was a pleasant surprise.

Waste of time

It’s strange to see such a large-scale production serving instant noodles, sausages, and other ultra-processed foods while presenting itself as a showcase of Korean cuisine. I honestly don’t understand the casting choices. The cast members may be close friends off-camera, but that chemistry doesn’t really come across on the show. The whole thing feels slow and monotonous, with very little to keep things interesting. Of all the participants, Choi Woo-shik is by far the most charismatic.
