I'm sorry but I don't get the point you're trying to make here. William and Est have gone through a lot so that…
This is for both parties. The focus was on the toxicity. Toxic fans are toxic regardless of the fandom.

I still feel numb after today's episode. It was so beautiful, yet real and haunting.

When the first episode aired, there weren't much comments under YT as most countries were blocked. That's the only reason I came here to discuss the series. Since the very first day, this show was attacked here. During the first few episodes, many fans suggested to follow reddit, as people had brain cells to have healthy conversations there. That's what I did. As the show was near the end, I came back to MDL again to find this? WTF!! MDL review doesn't matter guys .

I do know Auausave have also been through a lot. Save dropped out of uni to focus on the series and Auau really deserves the recognition he is finally getting.

But if you have been following Thai BL you should know William Est have so many haters since their Thamepo era. These boys have been through so much and have been trying their best to survive in the industry. These boys keep on fighting and surviving. We keep on failing them.

The ones engaging in the fights are the same toxic people who would turn against their fave at the smallest mistake or upon finding someone better. You guys are the toxic ones that bullied a sweetheart like James when he broke partnership with Net and joined DEXX , or for his role as Nine.

I see a lot of people missing the point of that scene. Moth was projecting his own insecurities about his relationship…
It's another toxic example of Moth. The way he judges people is the same as Mess. He also lowers Ten's self-esteem in the blind date scene. Deep down he is the insecure one and projects his insecurity on other people. I think the very last scene of episode 8, when Moth runs away from Mess with Dean, is a metaphor for him running away from his insecurity and elitism.

Title You Maniac Spoiler
This show clearly isn't for teens; the demographic is different. In real life, we call people like them toxic. These are just a few red-flag moments that come to my mind :

- DeanMoth, in the beginning, doesn't compromise. Their idea of dating is doing what makes them happy. They do not care about the other person's choice.
- Pun reminds Moth that he treats relationships like competition. Moth always sets the rules; if you can't follow, you leave.
- After the fight at the bar, both give the silent treatment.
- Moth has two huge public verbal outbursts and some small ones. The way he treats Dean in public places makes my stomach drop.
- Moth quite literally tells Dean that he lives in a fish tank in front of people. He calls him superficial. He says Dean doesn't have the brain to process art.
- Dean does take accountability with Moth and apologizes. But in the first two episodes, we see him leading other people on. All of his friends are his flings. He will act nicely to get to your bedroom, but that's where everything will end. If you get serious about him, ask for time, ask what we are; he ends it there.
- One of the major promises Dean breaks is during the second NC scene. Moth let Dean know the time in advance and prepped himself up. Then he learned Dean went to have fun with his friends and would come at 2-3 AM. I felt so bad for Moth in this scene. Being this vulnerable for someone and them ignoring you and partying...GOD.
- Dean came to the art gallery without informing Moth and acted like a shitty person. Doesn't matter if he was semi-drunk. It's equivalent to coming to your partner's workplace and beefing with a superior because you are drunk.

And deep down, these two characters aren't red flags. The real personality of Moth is the one he shows with Mess, vulnerable and gullible. From the way he spoke and the way he looked at him, that is his real personality. We see at the end of episode 8 this personality directed towards Dean. Also, Dean was a nerd. We are shown multiple pictures as evidence, and his mother and sister also say he was a good boy. At the end of episode 8, when he is on a phone call with Moth, the camera shows a picture of baby dork Dean. For me, it showed he is going back to his original self.

The Thai BL industry is already small, and many of the actors are friends regardless of the companies. You are all just here creating rifts between them. Is this what BL has come to? When we get series like "Heated Rivalry" and "Red, White & Royal Blue," they get a wider reach. Instead of boosting THAI BL, everyone is now engaging in fan wars? Isn't that pathetic?

Also, using AI isn't the flex you think it is.

Title You Maniac Spoiler
It’s pretty obvious that Moth only started going on dates with Dean to get his best friend to stop crushing…
Dean is used to being able to woo anyone very easily. Moth is used to being pursued by people. When they meet they are attracted to each other based on appearance. Dean first tries to pursue; Moth doesn't give in. So, Dean decides to stop because he has options. Moth is being his usual self, putting on high walls, and also being taken aback by the lack of persuasion.

The problem starts when Ten reaches out and begs to woo Moth so Pun can move on. Dean tries to pursue Moth for the sake of friendship. On the other hand, Moth thinks if he dates someone seriously, Pun will move on. He chooses Dean. Dean is an easy target because as he's a playboy, there's no way he can get hurt.

So, them meeting is kind of a show for Pun.

Also, both characters are used to being around. They are both experienced. Both simply doesn't settle down. Dean leads everyone on at the same time and Moth leaves his "relation" when someone falls for him. (At least my understanding from episode 3)

This show needed some narration.

they are not red flags. Minor dysfunctional behaviour due to trauma but they are NOT red flags. They are not toxic…
Can we stop fighting? Again it's just my personal opinion.

The only reason we are torn between these characters is because DeanMoth are equally toxic. Think of it this way: if we were given DeanPun or MothPun, then we would have truly seen the toxicity of these characters to their full extent. If what Dean is doing to Moth, or vice versa, were done to Pun, a nicer character, everyone would call them red flags. When you pair up one toxic character with a nice character, the toxicity hits harder. But as DeanMoth both are toxic hence the confusion.

ALSO, IT'S JUST A BL.

Maybe not traditional red flags. They wouldn't be red flags in two instances :
1. If they weren't adults
2. If they weren't hurting other people constantly
The amount of times I wanted to slap and then love these characters is insane.

This is for the people who are saying they do not see the red flag. If you are a sane person who wants a future with someone, would you ever choose someone like Dean or Moth? A person can be toxic without cheating and committing non-consensual acts. It is the ego, selfishness, and emotional baggage these people carry that make them toxic and red flag. They do not move on; instead, they go in spirals. From the start, they are attracted to e/o because of lust. So, one moment they are in love (or lust, there's a thin line in their case), the next moment their ego gets to them. As someone who loves shows like Gilmore Girls, where all the characters are morally gray; I am really enjoying You Maniac. For me, this is a character-driven show that explores human nature which I don't recall seeing in BL before.

The fact that people are so torn, hating on different characters every episode, is the job of the show. I have never seen a show where ALL the characters are faulty. There is quite literally no 100% pure character, not even PUN.

This is not a show you can put on the background and do something else. You need to focus on the acting, the characters, and try to connect the dots. You Maniac truly portrays the fickle nature of humankind: the characters and audiences.
