I normally don't mind open endings, they leave a lot to the imagination and give us lots to discuss.
My only issue with this series is that it was way too short to address all the issues, a lot was left unanswered: HJ's mom? Why was HJ stealing pen caps? Chairman and secretary going unpunished ect ect

Open ending, two interpretations:
1. HJ ended his life.
2. Giwoo and HJ are meeting later in the future.

An open ending means it has many interpretations just have to accept that's one of them

My personal interpretation was that Hyunjae had taken his life, with Giwoo crying. Then comes the bus scene which showed hope, that time lapsed and they're meeting in the future, but Giwoo didn't seem enthusiastic to me, he was walking slowly and the final line 'would you meet me again' also sounded like something someone would say before dying.
I'd LOVE to be wrong LOL.

it's an open ending and one of the interpretations is that he actually ended his life. he said he's giving up, Giwoo gave up on him so maybe he saw no reason to keep living.
I guess we'll never know

Lmfao you got a point but HJ isn't into Teacher just for sex. That's exactly why he looked so insulted when Teacher said, "I know this will end once we sleep together." HJ was pissed because the teacher was reducing their relationship to something purely physical

He wasn't horny in that moment; he ran like a maniac to Giwoo's place, he was too paranoid and terrified of losing the man he's so insanely obsessed with lmao. His obsession literally overpowered his horniness 😭💀

be it his past student or hyeonjae or his marriage he just always decides to make the perfect decision that makes him look flawless to society, but again that's how he was raised. He's got his own issues and he admits them
