Man watching ahn pan seok’s last work is really getting to me, I will forever miss analysing every character, their story, interactions, psychology in his dramas . He had his way to depict layers of human psychology and emotions and oh hod how beautifully he has done it . I will forever cherish his work and respect the art he left behind.

I would like to disagree here, the prof was always there lending his ear whenever yujin had to rant about minjae,…
Yeah this is where I felt he was ‘meddling’ for the first time with complete bias fueled by anger. I think it does not feel right when he says it is because all this should’ve had come from yujin first and then anybody else

Edit*- I just remembered the scene now that you’ve mentioned about his tone how after that conversation with minjae when the prof walked out of the bar walking angrily he stopped for a sec and exhaled a big sigh. I think he realised he overstepped and reacted high on emotions (the fact that he was rude not what he said). I think that scene carefully shows his side as someone who had feelings for yujin and had been bottling up for so long

The more I focus on the convo between Minjae and Prof. Lee, the more I have come to realize this dude might be…
I would like to disagree here, the prof was always there lending his ear whenever yujin had to rant about minjae, and he always jokingly told her to leave him or just say yes to wtv yujin had to say for minjae out of anger, but i never saw him actively trying to ruin their relationship or slow poisoning yujin’s head against minjae which he could if he were selfish. I think the bitter side came right when he saw that how deeply yujin is affected by minjae even if she doesn’t want him back right now but even the slightest mention of minjae triggers yujin to the core. In today’s episode he became so bitter bcs he could only empathise with yujin and see her pain rather than be the middleman and understand both sides, he clearly showed his bias towards yujin and one the catalyst for his behaviour was to realise how hurt yujin is by minjae. Today he completely acted out of emotion and complete bias where he despised minjae over the fact that how much he hurt yujin but still held a place in her heart where a mere mention of him would shake her and also the fact that he couldn’t get a clear picture of their stance if they wanted to get back together or not bcs he has been waiting all this time to shoot his shot!

All I could think of while watching yujin and prof lee’s scene was the famous verse of Dua lipa’s song training season 🤣 too bad that yujin doesn’t like him romantically bcs id genuinely fall for him

The best part about today's episode is the conversation between the prof and Minjae though, the scene also very beautifully depicted the contrasting and conflicting nature of the prof towards minjae. How he called out all the wrongs of minjae and didn't give him the chance to defend himself reflected his personal bias towards yujin and his genuine likeness for her (to bad for him bcs yujin never saw him romantically). I still feel he had said all those things to minjae as someone who knew a lot abt their relationship, even if he didn't have feelings for yujin but in a more gentle manner. Minjae needed that reality check that its was not just him who was suffering.

The episode confirmed that Jihoon's feelings were real and that his confession wasn't merely a misunderstanding,…
you've concluded it really well! yes we sometimes get hurt by the person we loved the most to the point it almost feels like betraying yourself and what you've went through if you take them back. I've been in a similar situation where i was deeply hurt by the person i loved and trusted the most, its been years and i still mourn over that relationship and always feel i wont be able to find a person like her again but the mere thought of taking her back or sorting out things or even thinking about going back to how we were feels unsettling, in my mind i keep thinking of the times i cried for that person and how deeply hurt i was, and it was just me and my will who helped me recollect myself and my thoughts and move on with my life. it still feels like im betraying myself and the hard time i went through whenever i miss that person. Even if you want to justify their actions you just cant help but cannot justify. when yujin said that he didnt die but she died back then triggered something in me. anyways kudos to the director for showcasing the reality than romanticising the harsh reality

he calls her ugly and weird and minjae can’t say a thing omggg…
exactly! I'd cry buckets of tears if I'd got to know that this person keeps bitching abt me and all my boyfriend now ex could do was just sit and listen. like its a blessing for minjae that yujin still does'nt know about all the demeaning things sejin says and how minjae just sits through it.

Waiting for the episode where minjae tells sejin to shut tf up when he's bad-mouthing Yujin and for once yelling at him like he did at yujin instead of patting sejins shoulder and saying hes like a brother. maybe then I can talk about them getting together.

This is an unrealistic generalization...
The answer to the your comment is literally in there! The other lab mates backed out and the it’s only minjae and the prof who have feelings for her hence the two options. Also let’s not compare the lab mates to mj and prof they never “liked” her like how the other two liked her

so you go to someone you don't love and leave the person you love!? waw
Nope your loved ones can hurt you too. It’s not necessary to go back to a person who once loved you deeply but also hurt you. Two things can happen simultaneously and that’s okay. Whereas sometimes ppl do end up dating someone who are their comfort person but that necessarily doesn’t mean it will work out. All kinds of approaches do happen in real life

This is an unrealistic generalization...
I did mention “if in yujin’s shoes”, and in her situation there are two options, I’m not talking abt having options in general ofc that way everyone has more options to explore

Nope from what I seen all my life people go way more for unstable and messy things so that is actually more accurate…
Ppl do go for messy relationships for sure, but many around me also move on and learn from those relationships and sometimes also end up in stable relationships. It is a personal preference of how you view love and your own worth separately

The funny thing about such dramas is how we view fiction apart from reality bcs if you guys were in youjin's situation in reality, half of you would've gone for the prof rather than minjae and that's a FACT

I think they should NOTTTTT be back together!!!!Firstly He didn't just step back; he dumped her and let her believe…
oh #they will drag you for checking out all the right points instead of worshipping and rooting for the main lead

I really wanna know how many of you guys who are thrashing the professor have actually been in a relationship or had an avoidant partner. do you realise how exhausting it is to be in a relationship where you constantly feel that you like the other person way more than they like you?

It is quiet easy to thrash a character who is not the main lead and get pissed off than genuinely trying to understand every character and not just romanticize a character and their flaws all because he's the male lead. Personally, I feel if Yujin has no feelings for the professor, then she's better off alone than anybody else bcs it is really shitty to get to know about your ex's tumour and surgery after everything is done and dusted and to know the fact that they never even considered letting you know about it. That was the least he could do to respect the relationship they had. It must be so hard to live with the guilt that your ex did not even feel you were worthy enough to know such a major chunk of their life or simply feel your relationship wasn't that dee to begin with (when the majority of the time she felt she liked him more than her). Just for once, put yourself in Youjin's shoes and think about how hurtful it must've been sitting there across the table and hearing abt his condition.
