Honestly, the whole CP bullsh1t has kept me off watching TU for SOOO Long, really don't wanna watch a drama with 2 mls making eyes at each other, after watching JOL, SSS, NIF and seeing WYB in Legend of Fei, I felt I should bite the bullet and give this a try, currently at 10ish episodes and all I see is nothing but deep bonds of friendship, I wonder why everything these days has to be about CP, BL and whatnot, it's annoying making things what they aren't all because of twisted fantasies
I saw a comment that said WYB is repulsed by females, imagine making him into what he's not all because of a drama, it's ridiculous. I understand if the book is BL but the drama isn't and people reading all kinds of wild meanings into innocent scenes just doesn't make any sense.
You can't even watch dramas these days without people desperately trying to call it BL, I can imagine if so many dramas we've watched in the past are broadcast now, we won't even have any appreciation for friendships anymore cause everything has to be CP
Another drama I've put off too is Word of Honor, I don't know if it's really BL CP or just regular friendship drama
This drama in one word, EPIC!! Couldn't breathe at the finale, this plus Joy of Life are just incredible, looking forward to seeing more dramas like these
And yes I've seen Nirvana in Fire but it doesn't measure up to the standards of these two, not one bit
I'm desperately in search of another series with this kind of badass emperor, I'm currently watching Nirvana in Fire and I often find myself missing the witty, all knowing emperor that could never be manipulated by mere tricks & had a firm grip on power and everyone beneath him. If anyone knows a series with a similar kind of emperor or with a ML like Fan Xian please drop me a comment
I completely agree Lighter and Princess and Till the end of the moon were off the charts- the other dramas pale…
L&P is my obsession , still haven't found anything comparable
TTEOTM was just phenomenal, since I saw it, I've tried to watch other popular Xianxia like TMOPB, ALP, etc they all feel like they copy the same script and get so boring I have to ffw alot, but TTEOTM had me hooked from get go, it's so different and addictive, nothing else measures up to it

This movie has left me feeling empty, nothing measures up, nothing else is enjoyable, I always find myself looking for something similar but I've failed everytime
Chen Fei Yu (Li Xun) has this bad boy act down to a TEE, he's mind blowing hot (yes I have a thing for bad boys) and I never found any part of it toxic in the least, Zhu Yun was just so loving plus their chemistry was off the charts, the kisses were so hot omg, I don't think my words are enough to describe this work of art
3 dramas I've watched this year that completely blew me away
Lighter and princess ( i don't find any other modern drama interesting anymore) Princess Agents (the first historical drama i fell so deeply in love with, I haven't enjoyed any as hard as this) Till The end of the moon ( my first ever and best of all time Xianxia, I've tried watching others to rekindle this feeling but nothing else measures up)
If anyone can give good recommendations that are VERY SIMILAR to Lighter and princess please drop me a comment, I mean with VERY BAD BOY male leads, the badder & hotter the better 🙈🙈
