Happy Birthday 🎂 Ruo Yun Ge, you're a phenomenal actor

Watching him in MLC made me realize I've been tolerating alot of mediocre acting all this while, he really pulls you into the story and makes you feel every emotion he feels, I tried checking up on his other dramas unfortunately they're all Xianxia, and I swore I'll never watch any of those anymore

The only Xianxia I ever truly enjoyed was TTEOTM, the rest just feel like replicas of the same story and trust me I've seen a number of them

Jealous 2fl , very annoying fl, MCs getting walked over by literally EVERY one else, tons of misunderstandings, dying and coming back to more misunderstandings which last like 50 episodes then you have like 10 seconds of joy, The End, lol I'm not putting myself through all that madness ever again

Ah lmao, you literally just saved me, I was considering BFTB, seeing ad I've been feeling empty after MLC, I think I'll go ahead and skip it altogether. I really don't want to waste time on dramas that'll get me worked up for no reason.

Sure, both JOL & SSS aren't romance centered either, pure classic mind blowing Wuxia, so don't expect much in the romance department, if you love smart male leads, definitely give them a try

Honestly since I saw dramas like JOL, SSS, Blood of Youth, etc, romance dramas leave a sour taste in my mouth cause most times they depend on Jealous 2fl or very annoying fl to carry the story, with pointless misunderstandings and I have very low tolerance for annoying dramas these days, so I tend to enjoy more Wuxia, friendship & even bromance (NB: not BL) these days

This isn't a romance drama so you'll see very little of that from the 2ml

no annoying love triangles either

it's an open ending plus a special episode with a happy ending

JOL is Joy of Life
SSS is Sword Snow Stride, they're both epic

Got that on my To watch list already 🤭

Arrgghh, saw the final episode and was awash with so many emotions all at once, till I saw the extra episodes and it hit me just how much, how deeply I was touched by this show. Definitely Top 5 on my list, right up there with JOL & SSS.

Now I wonder, what could possibly top these? What drama would have me defying sleep, at the edge of my seat in finger-biting anticipation of what the next move would be?

This was my first time watching Cheng Yi and I'm automatically a fan, I hoe he does more shows like these and I personally think he would kill a comedy role because I found him hillarious all through the show.

I still giggle at the "Yangzhouman" & "Suzhoukuai" joke, how easily lies rolled off his tongue, poor FDB 😭😭🤣🤣🤣

Super grateful someone recommended this to me from TBOY comments section, 4 a.m and I'm on episode 3, already head over heels in love with the story 😍

I'm not a fan of case solving series so the synopsis put me off at first, so glad I gave it a try

It's really that good? The synopsis wasn't exactly outstanding, I thought it was more of a mystery solving drama, I think I'll check it out tonight then

I've been abit hesitant on HSDS cause the rating is abit low, but with your rec, I'll give it a try, as for the Condor series they're really old, I might not enjoy them as much.

I'm a sucker for Wuxia and so far JOL & SSS are the greatest I've seen so far, almost done with TBOY so I'll definitely check out HSDS

Ngl, after I've seen this plus JOL & SSS I doubt there's any other Wuxia drama that could blow my mind, I feel like I've seen all the greats, could there really be anything better than these 3? (I don't mean untamed & woh btw)

Honestly, the whole CP bullsh1t has kept me off watching TU for SOOO Long, really don't wanna watch a drama with 2 mls making eyes at each other, after watching JOL, SSS, NIF and seeing WYB in Legend of Fei, I felt I should bite the bullet and give this a try, currently at 10ish episodes and all I see is nothing but deep bonds of friendship, I wonder why everything these days has to be about CP, BL and whatnot, it's annoying making things what they aren't all because of twisted fantasies

I saw a comment that said WYB is repulsed by females, imagine making him into what he's not all because of a drama, it's ridiculous. I understand if the book is BL but the drama isn't and people reading all kinds of wild meanings into innocent scenes just doesn't make any sense.

You can't even watch dramas these days without people desperately trying to call it BL, I can imagine if so many dramas we've watched in the past are broadcast now, we won't even have any appreciation for friendships anymore cause everything has to be CP

Another drama I've put off too is Word of Honor, I don't know if it's really BL CP or just regular friendship drama

This drama in one word, EPIC!! Couldn't breathe at the finale, this plus Joy of Life are just incredible, looking forward to seeing more dramas like these

And yes I've seen Nirvana in Fire but it doesn't measure up to the standards of these two, not one bit
