So maybe something passed over my head so tell me, is Xiao Yu Huai'En's sister or just a relative to his mother? Cuz his father seemed so fond of her while he treats his own son like shit..
Some comments seem to regard the whole thing as a love story neglecting the actual story and each character. The Jin family downfall was already decided, it was just a matter of time, even Xiao Bao's father has known that and was planing to escape in three days as he said.
Huai'En is an inhumane puppet who does whatever his father orders. Him having a thing with Xiao Bao wasn't part of the plan. Wether he could use him or not, at the end of the day he would've gotten the account book and finished the Jin family, but his feelings to Xiao Bao made him step in to stop the "finishing" part according to him and his uncle.
Xiao Bao's parents were stupid cause who checks their daughters clothes at their front gate in front of people like that? If Huai'En lived ten years in their house, he wouldn't have guessed that the roster was in her clothes. If he just had someone to remotely observe them and they saw that suspicious behaviour, he would've also known it, So I don't think it was Xiao Bao's fault but the parents for having business with the second prince at the first place and for that move second.
Huai'En lack of affection that led him to not knowing how to give love, or if he gives it appears to be as toxic as it's shown there. He thinks Xiao Bao's breaking his promise with him deserves raping him? .. when they were making up I thought he'd be like "I forgive u for breaking your promise and u forgive me for not getting consent" but he didn't. Even Xiao Bao, they both didn't acknowledge it as rape, even the previous two times.. Idk if that was okay during that era or what but I was so confused by them passing this.
Lastly, this is not your usual silly love story based series. It has depth with obvious darkness to it. So it's not for everyone one. In many sources this has "Drama" as genre, don't know why it's not added here.
Little addition, Xiao Bao's actor performance wasn't sitting right with me at first, it made me cringe many times but I overlooked it cause he had no experience, it's his first role afterall but DUDE he had me tearing up at the last ep, sad scenes seem to be his thing.
'Kay I'm willing to wait if we're gonna get a decent adaptation cause I LOVE THE MANHWA SO MUCH and Jiho is a good actor and I can completely see Heesu in him but if it turns out to be not worth the waiting I'd be so disappointed
They are not censored, they have not kissed yet despite having sex.
Feels like that person comment is true cuz when Huai En called Xiao Bao shameless for trying to initiate a kiss "fever scene", Xiao Bao wasn't like "we did it before tho" he only mentioned "that" implying having sex. so they probably didn't kiss fr
I've finished the first episode and I'm not impressed. My two main issues are terrible editing and things not…
The fact that Huai En had two murder attempts to end him only on the first episode is an enough explanation to why he would dress as a woman where in both occasions he went in women clothes in public, he had that thing partially covering his face. Honestly, his face could pass as a girl especially when he covers part of it + the women clothes, the only weird thing was his height but the ladies there seemed okay with it and amazed by the "tall girl".
The carriage shook because Zhao Cai stopped it auddenly once he saw the fight from afar, it's normal for the people inside to move forward by inertia, I don't get why would the carriage be unstable when it's a normal thing?
The 2nd carriage scene, the two guys were in the front driving the carriage and also changed places with Xiao Bao when Hua En rode past them, simply because it's a cut scene. Hua En would need time to get off the Carriage, unleash the horse and ride it, that's enough time for the other three to change places..
Editing is weird but it's okay. as a historical Cdrama enjoyer, I'm not really caught of guard, been there before. Other than that, I'm having fun so far, hope it goes on well
It's up to the viewer i guess. I choose to believe the latter honestly because that just makes White's situation…
This actually makes it brutal for me cuz he's completely pure.. some characters did something bad for fun, some were forced or manipulated to do bad things but in this case White literally did nothing either related to the group or his relationship with Tee, he even feels bad about other guys just touching him.. this is just sad
