I must say this drama is deeper than you think. It really shows how the system and society failed to protect young woman all the way to their adulthood time and time again, in a society where most people prefer to ignore this issues because is not happening to them, and that's when it gives you some hope how three friends completely different from each other formed an unexpected connection and protected one another.

Is important to notice how society failed to protect Maho and Yuri from being sexually assaulted, and Sotoko from being sexually abused by her grandpa and later on from being also abused by her husband. They stood up for each other in an unexpected way that leaded to many bad decisions, and how it has consequences, but overall the show tell us an important story about friendship, and loyalty.
I enjoyed the last episode, it was fast paced but I'm satisfied with the ending! Mayru and Tenyu looked so good together, I'm crying because they looked so happy at the end, and their journey was wholesome. Even if the drama wasn't perfect, I'll miss then a lot tbh
I fell in love with everything about this drama, including the beautiful soundtrack! First time listening to filipino songs and they're so good, the lyrics so poetic too.
I found the drama version 'meh'. Anime much better. But that depends on each person's opinion.
Yes, I started watching the live action too and it’s better than expected, the quality is really good and they were loyal to the storyline. Of course as you said I prefer the anime version more.
I'm anticipating the last episode but there's so many clichés so I'm a little disappointed. I felt our FL got character development but everything is mostly about who's she's in love with, what about her insecurities? Did that all go away with make-up and a haircut? What about her parents ? Where are they? They never talk about such things, it's nice they show us her love life in adolescence but there's s much more going on in females life at that age -or in general really- than just romance, and I would've like it if got a background of her personal life, but I do understand this is a manga adaptation and most probably they followed the original story.
Lastly, can we talk about all the tropes on ep 7? oh boy, I new Tenyu had issues but I believed her mom abandoned him, like he grew up in a lonely environment or he lacked affection growing up, and that's why he looked distant or melancholic sometimes, but the old trope of "ex girlfriend who comes back" wasn't what I really wanted to see... but well, at least he got more screentime this couple episodes.
I’m a little confuse by the order of the events and I feel conflicted about the second couple storyline... but overall I’m enjoying it a lot, the acting, and cinematography is superb! The main leads chemistry is good too, I can tell they’re comfortable around each other and it’s easy to connect with them.
Perfect and Casual is good transition, because there's a marriage contract and sweet love story. Mr. Honesty, Boss & Me, and I Hear You are others that I enjoyed a lot.
Tenyu Sensei doesn't have much screentime so that's sad, and I'm not that much into Naru because he's the type of person that hurts others feelings with his words but fix everything with a "sorry" at the end, he does that all the time... Either way the show is really enjoyable thanks to the FL and the flow of the drama.
The first episode was promising and the second one is kind of boring, not much happened and the writer introduced many characters but most of them are not likable or funny so if many of them disappear I wouldn't notice. Also, I find the FL screams and reactions a little too much, especially in the second episode, I hope the writer and director take notice of this and adjust it. Besides, SJK is doing an amazing job and the plot calls my attention! I'll keep watching because of that.
I'm watching the anime adaptation that is also airing and it's really good but I'm not convinced of watching this live action from the trailer alone, the acting and quality seem a bit off, does anyone like it or recommend it?
This kind of media coverage should always be taken with a pinch of salt since often it only tells part of the…
She posted her response about this on Weibo but she didn't deny the allegations, just said that Zheng Heng allegedly cheated and the recordings were of the night her parents and him were discussing what to do after their break up, her family apparently wanted to cut ties with him, in the professional world they closed the agency they had together (he was her manager), and now her parents were discussing what to do with the kids. It was a messy and complicated situation but nonetheless, it's not okay her family suggested abandoning the children or aborting at 7 months of pregnancy after their break up.
On the other hand, I don't think Zheng Heng is a saint either. She's the only one being judge by the surrogacy practice because it's illegal in China, but he participated in that too and was also her manager so how can you be so irresponsible knowing how it'll affect all the parties involved, not only his girlfriend at the time but was also your business partner too, who invested a lot of money in that agency they had together.
i agree.. thats why everytime the mayor's son gets a scene i expect him to go evil but he never does and its rlly…
Yes, That'll be really interesting! Plus, in the preview of the next episode, they introduced a cameo of Son Ho Jun as a new Counter so the possibility of including new crossovers with other Counters and stronger villains like the superhero comics could be really fun to see. I hope your theory comes true lol
