I rated 8/10 with 5/5 for PapaiSky and 3/5 for PayuRain. I can't stop rewatching PapaiSky. Everytime I say I'll just watch a few scenes I end up rewatching their whole story. The way Papai cares and was there whole time for Sky as he got sick, his dialogue "I look after you with such great care but I get to sleep on the floor. I am just a servant " 😂🤣 The last episode where Papai was attentively listening to him and the expression he made is everything. He portrayed that empathetic boyfriend so well. Cannot find a similar to these 2. I need same story not necessarily same actors but in vain 😭
OMG This was sooo goooddddddd. I binged it in one night and was so sad it was over! The chemistry between the couple, the tention, the hate to love gradually and slowly. The acceptance from both of them to realise and acknowledge and finally accept themselves and each other. It was amazing!! ❤️
It was an amazing watch until episode 13. The last 3 episodes were so boring I FF to watch the end. Otherwise before that it was a nice lovestory and both leads did well. It was also somewhat funny.
I was excited to watch this, mostly after the first season had exceeded my expectations and was so beautiful and romantic and steamy but this was somewhat a disappointment. Even if I was very happy that I was finally getting to see them getting married, which was the plot since the first episode of the previous season, it did not keep up to the thrilling story we had before.
The side stories were alright but still, no depth was added to them. Even for 4 episodes so much could have been done but it somewhat felt like a one episode story. The wedding could have taken place in the second episode so we could see some of Kuea and Hia’s post wedding life. I mean, since the wedding was supposed to take place from the first season itself, we could have seen more than just that, like more of the main couple’s life together and even more depth to the relationship of the side couples than bits here and there.
I loved the part where Kuea was taking control and wish we could’ve seen more of that but still, his place in the relationship was not the one to take control but rather listening to Hia.
It is still watchable and recommended since it has some nice ingredients including romance, fun and emotions, but you should watch the first season for it to make more sense.
Cutest BL! So romantic, and outstanding performance from NuNew!
I don’t know where to start, I loved this BL drama so mucchhhh!!!! I cannot believe it was NuNew’s first acting work because he killed it! He rocked his role as Kuea and he was so good in both the steamy and emotional scenes. The NC scenes looked so real and natural and I cannot say how many times when he cried I felt like crying too. He was simply amazing and outstanding in his role, so talented. His voice is amazing and the songs he sang for the show were all superb!
The chemistry of the main leads with Kuea and Lian was WOW!! I loved kuea’s shyness and Lian also folding to him gradually, letting go of his strict demeanour until he is more in love with Kuea than Kuea is with him.
I binged it within 2 days and I felt really sad after knowing it ended, thankfully we got a second season. I absolutely loved all the OST!
I also loved the side couples and they did not feel to be there just as fillers but were indeed part of the story.
Zee was very praised for his role, but even if he was amazing, NuNew was even better because he portrayed Kuea’s love and pain through the screen, he was my favourite among the two. I recommend this if you are looking for a deep romantic BL with steamy NC scenes!!
From the title I expected it to be a teen romance among gamers but it was more like gaming, concentrating on gaming, meeting for the game, being friends for the game, romance starts and ends where they are gaming and more gaming. The romance is very little and very light though it was fluffy and nice to watch.
I also liked the friendship of the other gamers and also the rivalry but I skipped most of the gaming parts where there was no relationship or friendship involved.
Towards the end I started to also get fed up with the main leads itself as their relationship was not progressing much.
I feel like it is overrated and could have another title including the gaming title instead of the romance and is a bit misleading. I do not recommend it if you are only looking for a romantic comedy otherwise if you are alright with gaming as a main genre with some romance as a side story, you should watch.
It was a nice watch, it is fun and romantic and I loved that it was only 12 episodes instead of an unnecessary dragging 16eps. I did enjoy the fun scenes and it made some scenarios lighter.
Normally in the Kdrama tropes there are some breakups whereby the main leads are separated due to some conflicts and reunite again towards the climax. Here in the show, we see the main leads reunite very quickly and there is a 3 year gap where they are still living happily. TBH I would have preferred the usual Kdrama trope here of them separating and reuniting after 3 years or even many months after, because the ML absolutely ruined FL career and life with mental trauma and this was an unforgivable act even if he did not know who she was at that time and then for her to forgive him so easily and so quickly was just unacceptable for me.
I had wanted to see the ML grovel for the FL’s forgiveness. The ML only felt guilty for ML because he had loved her, but what the other countless lives he had ruined? What if he had never met her? He would definitely and undoubtedly keep continuing to ruin other people’s lives. I mean he would’ve never changed, it was in him. For me he was such a red flag. He even agreed he was someone bad.
Anyway, since they already reunited, I wish we had a prolonged climax for the couple. There was romance lacking in the last episode and their long term relationship. The show focused too much on the potato lab, even if it is the title they could’ve done better. I also wanted to see a future for the second leads but it still seemed they were dating with no future prospects.
The ending indicated another season but I don’t feel it is necessary and the story would be too dragging.
I had wanted to watch a fantasy romance and this was recommended to me so many times so I decided to give it a try. In the beginning it was exciting and thrilling as I watched the mysteries unfold and it was a new plot instead of the usual Kdramas. However, in the second part the show started losing me, I mean there are so many loopholes and near the end it became too foolish, I was just glad it ended even if many things did not make sense. Also, for a 16 episodes it felt like too many scenarios were repeated.
The main leads did well though, they played their part well even if I do not understand the fan hype behind the ML but he did well.
I recommend if you are alright with science fiction loopholes, otherwise it is better to watch something else.
This was a nice one night watch before sleeping. It was intense and romantic. Though the ending was a bit rushed and loved how the toxic ML's character was developed and he changed for the better. Not encouraging such a toxic partner in real life but for a shoer drama it was nice
One day binge watch. It was nice and intense and romantic, steamy buttttttttt what kinda ending is thatttttttttttt??? Like nooooo. I was looking forward for a heppy ending after all that suffering. They had only like 5 seconds of happiness...
loved the mature main leads here instead of the childish couples in most kdramas and the ML was such a green flag damnnn the way he showered his affections to the FL was a delight to watch
This was amazing to watch. It was romantic, intense and dramatic. I just with they did not drag the misunderstanding for so long but then the way it gets resolved and that scene the secret is revealed is just WOW! Overall it's a nice one time binged watched. Completed in one day. Loved the steamy scenes 🔥🔥🔥
i was looking for something light and fluffy but this was so irritating and got so much on my nerves. I had to drop it at episode 2. I thought for 12 epi of 30mins I would finish in one day but I felt forced to watch. The FL gets on my nerves so much she's practically everywhere and is sulking against the ML who doesn't even know who she is. She's a cop but she literally lets everything pass, even illegal stuff. The villagers don't have any manners and are so intrusive. I mean the ML comes from the city and is definitely not adapted to the village life, they could have some comprehension and not invade his privacy that much. I mean would they love it if they go to the city and people get all comfy and touchy with them or force them to be like city folks? Everyone saying he's a jerk just because he is polite are the jerks themselves. Better look for other light shows to watch. NOT AT ALL LIKE HOMETOWN CHA CHA CHA
If you wanna watch this show DON'T FUCKING BOTHER. This shit had me seething with anger the whole motherfucking…
Dudeee your review made me LMAO so badlyyyyy 🤣🤣🤣 I know it was a shitty show and I understand your frustration, I had the same feeling as you do but the way you used your words here has me laughing like mad with tears for the last few minutes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure I enjoyed reading your review much more than I even enjoyed the show a 1%. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 First time am replying a review here and you're absolutely right about everything
it's just the story of an abuser who thinks a man is his property and the man being submissive and a victim in that relationship without being able to do anything. Even changing body did not give him freedom. I mean what kinda Love is that??? Ming should have been reported for abuse and dominance. He never loved Joe. Had Joe never come back so he died living off a toxic relationship with an abuser. It was so toxic I had to stop. I dropped it at episode 9. I couldn't stand Joe being such a victim anymore. Sometimes I wanted him to scream at Ming and wondered why he stayed so silent but then again he is always the victim and he is a shy personality, Ming was the first one he was physical with and in a relationship so he's not that experienced. if you wanna save your time to avoid watching the development of a toxic relationship avoid this
