Hello, lou! Is it alright if you could tell me what makes the drama disturbing…? (i’m ok with disturbing dramas…
nudity, brutality and abuse. you name it. it is about a paralysed girl and the abuse (sexual, psychological, physiological abuse) she is exposed to and how she ended up in this position and how she is breaking out of it. There are a lot of themes that could be marked as trigger warning.
I stopped loving time travel dramas as sometimes they just lose the plot & too many flash back annoy the crap…
this one is based off of a very very VERY well done Taiwanese drama. So if they keep to the original story there won't be any messed up flash backs or annoying time jumps. It reminded me a lot of a lighter version of the Netflix series "Dark", which is arguably one of the best time travel series ever produced. So defo give this one a try ;)
probably not. most 100+ episode dramas have an up and down wave in regards to their stories but if you do watch each weeks episodes, then you will probably stay entertained and not even truly realise the amount of episodes
it is different. Both dramas are very well done. The charm with the Japanese version is that you actually have an ending, while the korean one is still waiting for it's closure
why does it surprise you? The director is Bong Joon-ho, the producers are Jeong Tae-sung, Steven Nam, Park Chan-wook,…
I don't get you. A year ago this page didn't exist, now it does. It is not like this was always the case. Yes Koreans are involved but that is not new. So am I not allowed to be surprised to find Snowpiercer here now and not a year ago before? Or maybe you can explain to me why you are so offended by my surprise.
a unique drama. It has its charm and you do feel for the characters but something was missing. There was not really the special something that makes you get pulled into this world and get connected to each character. It felt like scratching the surface, promising more than it delivers 7/10 for me
Kinda surprised to find Snowpiercer here but it does make sense. So this movie is unique in its own way. The logical part does not per say make sense in regards to the trains working and so on. However the story behind it is very good. The world, the characters and also the actors are a joy to watch. I made the mistake and watched the series before the movie and thus....yeh you cannot truly beat Melanie Cavill. Even if the original movie version has its own charm with its own set of diverse characters but the character of Melanie gave me such a strong impression that I miss her dearly in this movie version. Otherwise movie and series work the same way. There are a lot of scenes one is better than the other but they both are well balanced in terms of their specific benefits and faults. 7,5/10
sometimes I wonder how much of these donations from companies and actors are done in order to have a tax reduction and gain a better reputation ....sure there is goodwill but still, if you announce it that publicly, one is left wondering.
Do you have more artsy type recommendations? I’ve come across a few but it’s not easy to search for. Don’t…
I do, however these are nearly all somehow associated with the arthouse genre and thus they are quite explicit in some parts and meant to disturb the viewer. If this is something for you I will dm you a few ;)
