Title Ren Yu
I disagree about focusing on her family. What more were we going to see of them? Maybe the mom continuing to feel…
See for me this was not a mystery-thriller drama in the typical sense. It was more just a family drama. yes there was a case and a thriller nature to it but even the case itself wasn't given the main attention. The families involved were the main focus.

since it is a drama about .....drama...or maybe family drama, I do think we should have focused more on the emotional aspect. Dive more into the issue of the family living in the former home of the other, or truly have the father dig deeper into the case, have the son become more involved, have the mother become more involved. We completely moved away from them. There was still a lot of potential there

Title Ren Yu
It was really good until episode 17 when we moved completely away from the family and focused on all the other characters. I do think we should have covered the family until the end. Generally I think from episode 18 on wards it was a bit weaker compared to the rest. But the rest was superb! Absolute gem

that's true. But even dark comedy is rarely present. Most often it is this over the top thing of lightening the mood that is just not needed. Eg. Chinese crime dramas (refereeing here primarily to Tencent X theatre or Light On Series) are a bit better there. We do have lighter scenes but overall it is staying serious and grounded. This is rarely the case anymore with korean dreamland.

Now I have a feeling the drama is having some comedy sprinkled here and there. Not your usual Korean slapstick…
man I really hope not. I'm so done with the comedy in serious dramas with korean land. Ever since OCN stopped doing dramas we rarely get a complete serious crime drama. It really is starting to become annoying

Man this was good. Extremely sad, it isn't really a crime drama per say and instead focuses on why each character was forced into their specific situation. It shows the cruelty of life. Really well done series

It was good but I really should stop expecting the second season to be better than the first. I do think they improved in some areas, but I do think the story was better in season 1. I am curious if they plan to do a season 3 though. There could be potential here.

I have watched it when it first aired yes. It is based on the same concept. Even the screenwriter stated so herself. That was the whole problem. I still am vastly disappointed with the screenwriter since I also consider this whole situation partly her fault. She did keep us in the loop for a season 2 from the get go, and I understand that it is tricky to write something when your first big project became such a hit. Still. I do think she could have finished s1 better. Then maybe this whole scandal for s2 would not be as painful. I don't know XD ignore me. I am just salty that my most favourite series of 10 years gets to end this way.

they always said there'd be a sequel. And the screenwriter also always said she'd write a sequel but first she wanted to do a historic drama. with became Kingdom . But when she then did Jirisan, which is basically the same story as Signal, then I started to wonder if we will ever get a season 2.

My guess it's about brand deals and appearances. No one wants their name to be associated with a scandal. It's a very strange industry. I for one can no longer support it. And I will not either.

Is it truly airing on the 6th of June? No Promotion so far so I doubt it... So err, what is airing instead.?Also…
man I'd be beyond ecstatic if its going to air but I seriously doubt it. And this comes from someone who has been waiting for 10 years now for season 2. I am beyond disappointed with Korea and tvN for how they handled this.

I've been waiting for s2 for 10 freaking years. Release it online, internationally, I dont care. just release it.
I will not watch any tvN dramas anymore. Nor will I recommend anyone ever a tvN drama, they clearly do not care about watchers.

Its about growing and breaking free, I feel with all 3 of these characters. It is very realistic, very raw, very true
