I haven't finished watching Season 2 but since Taxi Driver doesn't have a central plot and follows an episodic…
s1 was done by a different network and writer. And don't forget they focused on the webtoon with that one. It changed near the end and s2 and s3 are completely original.
I do actually feel opposite. I miss the serious tone. But I understand that.....with the immense success ----- they changed the series to be able to get a s2 and even a s3 now.
Actually I do think the main reason they'd tie the knot now is maybe wanting kids? Even with famous parents, there…
I fully agree with you. But I don't see that changing anytime soon. We'd need to adapt some laws and even with changed laws, "hell is other people", as the French philosopher Sartre wrote. Furthermore, there is a scientific relation with conservatism increase and economic decline. Thus, we might make larger steps backwards, than forwards.
beyond happy for them if that's what they want. and i'm happy they were together so long and openly, as he fucking…
Actually I do think the main reason they'd tie the knot now is maybe wanting kids? Even with famous parents, there is still the stigma in Korea that kids should not be born out of wedlock. I can't imagine other reasons tbh......like Shin Minah did say she wasn't very keen on the idea of getting married in 2014. And they are both very successful and happy. They are also in a position where people will support them no matter what. But if they do want to start a family, which Kim woo Bin did state in an interview from 2014 too that he'd like to have children one day....it would explain quite a bit. (No offence of c to anyone who is still all for marriage)
I think I made a huge mistake by starting this before all eps are out.....................
lol you can just read the webtoon. It's completed. And so far it is pretty closely adapted to it. Just the beginning is differently where it begins somewhere close to the ending.
Ok man....I loved it but at the same time I feel like this should have been extended to 20 episodes where the ending was not jumping from one thing to the next without any explanation as to how we suddenly got there or as to how suddenly relations develop as they do. The drama focused mostly on shogi, and that is fine, but at the core is a family feud and Asuka does say this all is about said feud. So why is there not much more attention given to the specific characters. I get that shogi is important but this took a lot away from the story and made it feel unsatisfying Dont get me wrong this is a really really good made drama, and definitely worth the watch but it just misses character depth.
So it is a really well done drama so far. Especially music and acting? Top notch. I do have a little trouble with Kim Young Das coz I did sort of have a different Yun Jun So in mind but it is what it is. Funnily his role reminds me a lot of his Penthouse role.
In terms of webtoon changes.....I honestly don't know how to feel about them so far XD I do think the story got more humanity to it. Especially Ajin feels a little less like her crazy sociopathic persona and more like a sad person. It's an interesting change.
Story construction......tbh I think the webtoon does it a little better with them starting nearly at the end and then going backwards to explain how we get there. And also the interviews. I really loved that about the webtoon and I sort of miss it with the drama but its probably coz they dont want to reveal some sides of some characters yet. But....it had something extra gripping to the webtoon.
I don't and since you have chosen the name "Mephisto", which is a character from Goethe's Faust, you should know that best that we never know anything at all even if we have studied everything there is to study in this world (opening page from Faust I). And thus we should not judge a book by its cover and give things a try without saying something is bad. ;)
you don't even know how this one is going to be. Just because it's a dark and serious topic doesn't meant it has to be bad. Give things first a try, and then judge it.
but why is that supposed to be a scandal? I mean dating rumours aren't so tragic when people are not in an established relationship with other people right?
man when it comes to thrillers/serious dramas ratings often end up on the lower end compared to rom-coms or those where the good people are doing good and the bad are bad. Dramas that bend the morality understanding of viewers are always facing large dislike for the weirdest reasons.
very much agreed. Ever since OCN stopped producing dramas, these types stopped existing. But Thankfully this specific…
Tunnel is very similar to Signal. So if you have not seen Signal I actually recommend you to start with that first. Especially now that s2 is finally a fixed thing.
Train was really good but it has an open ending and I'm still waiting for the announcement of a s2.
You could actually also check out Lies Within? Because this is done by the same screenwriter that wrote Walking on Thin Ice but it was produced by OCN.
And also I highly recommend giving Watcher a try. This is also a fantastic drama production from OCN.
This is so Underrated! It should be at least 8.5!It gives the same vibe as The Penthouse and the Dramas during…

Still super well done so far

Its so good!
The series is fully focusing on the main characters, especially episode 9 gives a lot of backstory.
