there are quite a few changes compared to the webtoon but overall this is very good. It is a very realistic portrayal of how some people develop a sociopathic behavior and what and how they are capable of getting what they want. 9,5/10
it’s awesome psychological experiment: people blame Ah Jin same way like other people in the drama did it’s…
I really like it because it shows what Sartre wrote so well in his closed society => hell is other people. Sadly such people exist way too often in real life. Much more than all those happy/cliche dramas
I see why the network has been sitting on the show for three years after it was shot. It's uneven, the storyline…
lol but then according to this 99% of all dramas released these last few years should be put on a 3 year old. It's just 2 episodes. Let's wait how it develops ;). I do like the start and it does give me more darker vibes than what we have currently been seeing in drama land....or actually since OCN stopped producing dramas.
Does sound like it but I never thought of 35 as midlife. I thought 50 was midlife until someone told me it was…
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. yeah I guess thats true. From millennial down to gen z to alpha. We will probably see a huge intake of illnesses. Still a depressed mindset is counter productive. Ageing is something normal. And overdramatising that will neither help the person itself nor will it benefit the generation that is in a similar situation. Each phase has a positive side to it. And I do think we should focus on that.

its not midlife. you are right with the 50ties. It might be different on definition but not with the psychological mental stuffs. but I have noticed in my friends circle that some males do tend to be more sensible when it comes to hitting their 30ties and nearing their 40ties. its a bit of a strange thing since really......30ties are the best age? You finally realise you dont need to proof yourself to anyone and you dont care about proofing yourself either. but welp......some do have a crises with that.
it's a year ago that you asked but for the sake of it I feel like I should still answer XD Cancelled => no…
they are divorced now as far as I know There is a romantic subplot but the romance story is not really focused on Jake. There are 2 other characters that have a REALLY GOOD!!! romance story .
People who can withstand that type of strong characters will be worried for the child actors. Children should…
psychological help is still considered sort of a taboo in Korea. mental illness is frowned upon. It's not that people don't believe in it is. It's just that it is still heavily stigmatised. So I guess that explains why there is no psychological support given to child actors (Not saying this is not bad, just that this may be the reason why)

it's based on a biography. So Jake and all you see in this drama are based on real people from the 90ties. The original Jake still exists though he doesn't live in Japan anymore and moved since back to the US. => this is his wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake_Adelstein.

there are allegations yes but those are from the early 2010s Tokyo Vice was produced nearly 10 years later. So they were aware of these allegations before he was even cast. They were no the reason why the series didn't get renewed for a s3. The main reason truly was that the original source had ended. They confirmed that in interviews themselves.
Is this show canceled after season 2? I heard that the lead actor was seriously canceled on social media and I'm…

Cancelled => no they decided to end it there on their own because the book it's based off on ends right there. Did an actor do something? => no, no scandals or drama or anything. potential for a 3rd season? => yes. But again, if people feel its time to end something maybe its better it ends. though I do have to say I'd love to see many more seasons.
It would honestly be a really good, but dark series. I'd totally be for it. But his role in Tokyo Vice is sort…
He hasn't had many main roles yet. So Tokyo Vice was I think one of his first Main's. But it does have 2 season so there is lots of great moments with him. Gannibal was also great. He doesn't have a main role there but he has quite a bit of screen time and his character is very important in both seasons.
imagine this being told from Matsuda's POV. damn what a sad love story it would be 😅
It would honestly be a really good, but dark series. I'd totally be for it. But his role in Tokyo Vice is sort of similar so if you are interested in it, defo check that drama out.
I bet she's pregnant thats why they are getting marriedwhy bother to marry when you've been together for 10 years
no doubt that. She is doing Remarried Empress and that is one extremely hyped drama. I wouldn't be surprised if they did end up having a child in the next 1 or 2 years but so far I'd be surprised if they'd announce a pregnancy before Remarried Empress is finished.

absolutely feel ya. I feel 100% the same. I do think originally it was planned to follow the webtoon's ending. It's just the extreme success that made them reconsider.

yeah.....I actually really liked the webtoon ending because it signified that what they did wasn't all "good" either and I had a lot of problem with some storylines in s2 for that specific reason. I like the moral grey area they did in s1 and was a bit disappointed with it going into a different direction with s2. So lets seeeeee how s3 is :)
