And I'm refering to Inspector Koo & Maestra with Lee Young Ae, and Secret Life of my Secretary, Evilive, Guardians, Pinocchio, (somebody though this one is either a love or a hate for most watchers) and so on with Kim Young Kwang.
Trigger is only one :) which is why I said check both of them out some more.
If this isn't a "people assuming one gender interacting with the other gender meant a romance was blossoming"…
I do think he sees his own situation reflected in the FL and her daughter. So there is kinship. Not romantic but man....their chemistry is so good and so much stronger than what we are currently used to with romantic dramas.
At time of watching this without reading other comments seen 2 episodes out of the 7 i downloaded. the show is…

is the webtoon have love triangle!? and is ml a bad person and he will regret what he did to fl !? and is it a…
no see. Super huge spoiler: The FL and the ML are a team from childhood on to adulthood. He feels guilty for what his mother did to her, but in the end it is sort of all a plan of hers to make him her pawn. She is a sociopath. And she uses him throughout her life to help her acquire a high position. And he does. he sees her bad side and he knows how bad she is. So the end will be about how he revealed all her shady deeds and all her wrongdoings and basically destroys her publicly. So she gets punished but she will rebuild herself. And 2nd ML, who is friends with 1st ML will also be facing a similar faith as 1st ML but since he comes form a similar background he doesn't truly care. And that is the story. Both male leads are friends, both are more or less supportive of the other, and both know they are pawns of the FL but will still stay by her side to keep her under control. But FL is a sociopath. And she will not change.
I have had the same thought today. For me it's the best drama of 2025. The story, the characters, the chemistry…
actually im glad Netflix didn't pick it up. This is a kdrama like how it used to be. With unpredictable twists and surprises. korean dramas produced by Netflix rarely do that. they often follow the same storylines that focus on catching the attention of 15 to 20 year olds. This drama focuses on a bit of an older age group emphasised by the main leads age. It's different. Just like Lee Young Ae's previous dramas Maestra and Inspector Koo were, which were also not done by Netflix .

- no not truly any love triangle. There are scenes were both MLs are interesting in the FL but I wouldnt call it very strongly romantic. They are sort of addicted/obsessed with her. - Neither of the MLs is as bad as the FL. And she will not regret what she did to any character. - All main characters are bad people but the worst of all is the FL, who will not regret anything. - so if the drama is following the webtoon then not truly a happy ending. the FL has a sort of revenge for what one of the ML decided to do but she is not a good person so that revenge is not a "good" sort of revenge. It is more a sad story where you hope for the FL to learn from what she did wrong, where she is sort of seeing her own mistakes but until the end wont.
I'm sure there is a bigger picture why James had the story-arc episode 11 but.....it sort of felt off? Or out of line? It didnt truly fit with episode 4 no?
Honestly it was not bad. It did feel very much like an anime though, even the storyline was very anime like. But the case was interesting even when you could pretty much predict what was going to happen from episode 5 onwards . Still well done 7/10
coz screenwriter. Signal was immensely successful but it was one of her first dramas. And she did say in an interview that it was an enormous responsibility to fulfil expectations. So she focused instead on Kingdom and then Jirisan. And kingdom was also extremely successful. So maybe that strengthened her belief in herself? Though Jirisan wasn't as crazily well received, especially by the Signal fandom. (Not surprising tbh, it is nearly the same sort just done in a different drama XD)
