Ignore the complaints - this was awesome all the way through. The things that people are complaining about felt absolutely intentional to this viewer, like the creators were poking gentle fun at the minidrama form itself. Damn good screenwriter (unfortunately not credited here on MDL) who played freely in heartfelt angst and campy silliness simultaneously. A great mini

Yes, but at the time it made me wonder that it took her that long to get a clue. I didn't buy that she could be so confident he would fail. In fact, some hidden subconscious part of the FL has to want him to win the bet. But this version of the FL is too risk averse to court self-destruction like that (unlike the ML who is that self-destructive). Why did they make the 2 FL so politically charged a conquest? I loved the show regardless

In this Korean version, though the ML fits the same borderline nihilist libertine mold, the FL is far too serious and scheming to not know/care right from the start that chosing this particular woman for their schemes is beyond stupid because it touches on politics in a way that could backfire dangerously..
This is far better than these MDL ratings might lead you to believe. Does it have flaws? Yeah (in particular the 2FL characterization felt way off until near the end). BUT it tells a great tragic villain love story that I throughly enjoyed in spite of the fact that some core Dangerous Liaisons stuff just doesn't quite fit the new Korean setup they established or the occasional wonky side plot.
There is an emotional coldness to this drama. It isn't a romance - it is a tragedy about two smart people who don't fit in to their rigid society, who can't escape their own flaws, who can't have, but can't bear to let go of, the only other person who ever truly saw them. Society is a cage. Family is a cage. Love is a cage. If you can roll with those themes, give it a try.

That guy is DEAD. Either the gunshot we heard was him shooting himself OR the bomb diffusing phone call did happen and he died in the operating room after slumping to the ground after being shot again .
In any case, the scene is oddly lit and dream-like. He is wearing all white and standing in front of the Camilia tree that represented his desire for death. He peacefully says he will wait for her there as she leaves probably forever. Yeah right- in life that crazy dude could never just let her walk away. It is all her wishful thinking as she makes peace and moves on.
Enjoyed this one a lot! That ML was a total mess (in a great way). The FL actress did a good job selling where the character was at maturity-wise throughout. She never felt too much like a passive damsel - more like a horror movie heroine instead.
You can interpret that ending literally as presented, but I kinda enjoy what I THOUGHT was happening better (see spoiler below)....
