dunno if it applies to the whole world but in asia many teenage boys get bullied for not being "manly" enough. they perceive feminine to be gay so boys here in asia are very afraid to even show a single bit of femininity. so no im not stereotyping, its rooted in asian culture, east asia at least.
i watched it without knowing it was LGBTQ so when they said "pig's brain in human head" i legit thought minato was possessed with a pig brain LOL that's why he was acting so weird. that's when i realised later on that i was the monster 😂
Did Minato and Yori die? That ending scene where they ran past a white haze got me confused. They were screaming…
depends how you interpret it. i personally interpreted it as afterlife. (the poster shows the final scene) minato's mother called out his name in the abandoned train, the train is gone, it's a "new" train track (representing afterlife) and minato and yori are looking back at her.
i feel like the scene where minato and yori were running during the typhoon was all just minato's hallucination and yori already died in the bathtub. when it became sunny again they were already up in their own sweet paradise.
