His mother did annoy me too, it was my least favourite element of the story, and some karma would have been nice [spoiler ahead] in terms of her being told that her perfect son was Mi-mo's father. Even if she didn't believe it.
Some elements of this show were 10/10 and some were 5/10... Which I really hated about it as it soured what could have been perfection to something less.

S2? Hated that they killed of the one ML, I found it unnecessary as he could have got his message across without dying. The show lost its sparkle for me after that.
Then the paramedic, why did they make her so useless? She just stands and watches the building. She turns her back on the elevator to make a call, and then just stands there and watches.
I also found that some of the scenes were unnecessarily dragged out. I understand for drama and suspense, but still?
I also found that the show lost its purpose, it is called First Responders, but there wasn't much of that happening. I understand they were focussing on the serial arsonist, but they could have had some 'side quests' too.

I rated this high, and I love this genre. I think it was well written (a few plot holes), well acted, had lots of mystery, intrigue, thrills and the selfish manipulative nature of everyone added an extra layer. At face value, and a slow burn for you, might have resulted in a lower rating, but there was so much for me at a deeper level, that just elevated this to a whole new level.
