Finished watching the J version season 1 its a completely different tone, warm and cheerful with awkward situations turned into humor

Japanese come up with so many of these crazy plots

The marriage with Lady Hae was the first step in gaining power but he was stuck after that as king would not give up on Mu and Yoo clan was too powerful. His chance would be when Mu and Yo clash but return of So and entry of Soo kind of made it chaotic

I didnt get why YeonHwa needed Yoo or vice versa for that plan, their alliance itself made no sense

Also giving up his family was never an option, treason level crime leads to purging of entire clan(which Soo is a part of) or at best exile . He would end up losing everything, either way he would lose Soo for sure. There is no evidence vs Concubine Yoo as well
