I am a fan of IU but its been so long since I've watched a kdrama I've been a long time cdrama girl so I really came back because of her, and also I like how BWS acted in Lovely Runner Coming from Pursuit of Jade and based on other historical cdramas, I somewhat understand the ML dynamics and the 8 year old young emperor. The young emperor will always be manipulated by others especially the queen dowager is still alive Although I think in this age I am not sure it is really realistic for an 8 year old to be an emperor Many would protest and also ML would technically be a tyrant lol All grownup adults by the way who would listen to a kid, even the prime minister was also tutoring him come on His villan arc would be a great story in parallel world lol, committing treason in modern age But anyway this a drama I didn't really got interested with the noble plot, I just like the characters chemistry and Huiju's personality This is still one of the best romcom after 2016 for me

With the first arc they are pretty similar plot with the novel but the last 2 arcs were very different Also all characters aside from main FL and ML have different personalities from the novel They are lots of added sided characters too
I'm sad that this is only 12 episodes I thought their relationship was really cute and funny but the family side of Uyeon and her growth is the most interesting part I somewhat relate to Uyeon with her timid personality so I really focus on her part rather than their relationship
Also the Spirit Fingers makes me want to join if there are any in real life Regardless of age/personality it is really comforting
