reading these comments and seeing the ethics of using ai and piracy being compared and used as gotcha moments. im sorry but those two situations are NOT comparable.
using ai in the PRODUCTION (as in the making of the show) vs pirating the already FINISHED product are two very different things. one involves the creation process and the other is about the distribution of it.
pirating creates word of mouth and builds momentum for shows to get even more popular to an even wider audience and there's higher chances of someone who pirates to go and support the creators some other way.
i understand the argument about low budgets and not getting enough funding, but it's in those moments of figuring out how to still making something good and interesting with the four dollars you have that great series are made. i much rather prefer a show to 'look' low budget but for it to have been made 100% by passionate people trying to tell a story and overcome small funding, than a 'high quality' (not real tho, you can still tell when things are ai generated) show for the sake of keeping appearances.
