He missed out on 20 years of her life, 5 of which deliberately. Whatever his reasons were, he wasn't there for her. She's done really well without him, I see no reason for them to end up together. Writers could have told this story in 12 episodes max.
1. Right to the end, I still feel like the ML needed to redeem himself more to deserve the FL. 2. They really could've done a lot better with the wig. Far too distracting at times.
