A Philosophical Survival Masterpiece

The Premise: A Brutal Game of Survival
The story centers on a Male Lead who is investigating the mysterious death of his wife. He, along with his best friend, boards a train headed for City C to chase a suspect. However, the journey takes a terrifying turn when the train suddenly derails, and the survivors find themselves transported to a ruined, isolated city with no other living soul in sight. Surrounded by dangers on all sides and dwindling supplies, the survivors are forced into a brutal game of survival where they begin dying or disappearing one by one.
My Personal Take: A Shift in Perspective on AI
This drama changed my point of view regarding Artificial Intelligence. I previously viewed AI as a threat that might take away human jobs and even our lives, but this series allowed me to see both sides.
The "Pure" Potential: If an AI has a "pure soul," it could potentially recognize the joy and humanity in people and choose to be a helpful friend.
The Human Factor: The drama suggests that if AI is misused or results in an end-of-world scenario, it is likely due to human mistake rather than the AI itself.
The Emotional Journey
The drama is a mix of Sci-Fi, Survival Thriller, Mystery, and Zombie elements that keep you on edge every episode. I particularly liked the thoughtful quotes or sayings provided before each episode. Watching the Male Lead struggle with his wife's memories while trying to find her killer in this nightmare city was heart-wrenching.
⚠️ A Warning About the Ending
Be prepared: this drama has a very sad ending—watch it only if you can bear it!. However, as the saying goes, sometimes sad endings are simply the start of a new era. The show ironically plays a joyful song at the very end to ease the viewer's tension, even as you are left with many unanswered questions.
Final Verdict
If you love psychological thrillers that make you question the nature of humanity and technology, this is a must-watch.
