yea the Zhenqi and the martial prowess of the masters have been significantly downplayed.
It doesn't show the difference of someone using qi and someone who doesn't use qi like Wu Zhu.
That's one thing i think needs improving.

His mother is from the Temple which is guiding civilizations since the disaster happened, Wu Zhu is an immortal android, that's why he doesn't age, and has been arround for how many thousands of years, guiding civilisations. He is the emmissary of the temple who has defected due to Ye Qing Mei.

Fan Xian, consciouness not his body was what was sent into the future in the body of the baby FX, when we saw in S1, wu zhu carrying him in a basket. so basically he has been aware if his surroundings since a baby.

His past self, was a sick man who had remained in bed unmoving for a number of years untill his death he even made a reference to that in episode 25 i think, where he told the 1st Prince, i have already died once, so i do not fear death.

FInally in Episode 27, RuoRuo should start practicing the sniper. FX takes over the inner treasury business needs to boom. What miracle will he come up with to settle the dificit, we will see that probably in the next episode.
I think after training RuoRuo to use the sniper, Ku He will spread the news about FX being Ye Qing Mei's son, and that of the emperor of Nanqing.
Wu Zhu will use this opportunity to fight the Grandmaster who has left in his wake a trail of murders.
FX will have to visit the Inner treasury which is located outside of the Capital.

That is also FX plot to not let Ruo Ruo be used as a Chess piece by the emperor.

It's has to do with the stories, although they were some fight scenes at this point in the novel, it was more centerred around schemes.

Of course not now, but later he get's out of the emperor's control. He would have control over Beiqi and Dongyi including it's martial arts masters. moreover having Neiku and the overwatch council in his hands.

Very much soo, when you read Novels and the describe the emperor's aura and you watch drama's you don't really see that kind of aura.

But in JOL, you can sense the pressure from behind the screen when watching the emperor's scenes, even when he's in casual clothing.

The second prince didn't poison Ye Qing Mei. Her death was a resolt of a revolt in the capital, coincendentally all her powerful allies were out of the capital at that point and she had just given birth and in her weakest point.

Chen PingPing was out of the capital saving the emperor, Wu Zhu was out fighting someone from the Temple making sure they don't get to her.
Fan Jian, was out on some expedition.

And all that was the schemes of the emperor.

I have to say ZRY is a talent in acting involving schemes. And that Emperor is more like an Emperor than most dramas you watch were the title is just about someone who's there and people supposedly fear him.

In JOL, you actually see the reason why the emperor of Nanqing is soo revered.

She is a lot talented, but FX, has the advantage of knowing medicines of the modern era, which in this drama is the past era.

It's about this point, i already thought they would've released it already,
Northern Qi, Ku He and Duo Duo were responsible for spreading the rumors at the behest of Wu Zhu.

Which was also a scheme of Wu Zhu to stop the assassin sent by the Temple to kill FX as he doesn't belong in this world.

The truth is that, in the novel, Fan Xian dares to kill them. He knows he is a Prince and with the emperors favor at this point whilst they dont know that, yet.
He becomes known as the solitary official who really holds a grudge so nobody dares to find trouble with him.
The princes are trying to loop in FX as right now, they see his potential to become the most powerful official, holding both Overwatch council and Neiku in his palms.
But they all become scared including everyone in the Palace, when his identity as Ye Qinmei's son becomes known, as those in the Palace will realise that Ye Qingmei only bore a son to one person "The Emperor", and by the way the emperor is treating FX, he really can even be both the most powerful official, richest man, and a Martial arts prodigy.
At that point, even the throne will belong to him. At the same time he can kill them for their involment in the case of his mother moreover, when he does, no one will rebuke him as he is a Prince.

At a certain point, even the emperor will be living in fear of FX power. The emperor at this point is the most powerful person and a Grand Master, but FX also has Wu Zhu on his side and with an unkown weapon which can kill from miles away.
