sometimes in dramas I see a side chara whose sex I cant tell at a glance. Is he/she male or female? I would stare at them and loose track of the plot while trying to figure it out. FL is like that for me. If i didnt knw she was female I would've been tricked into believing she could be male. She can pass for a pretty boy. It would've helped if the makeup didnt make her lips so pink and it looks like she has eyeliner on? Her voice is kinda a giveaway though. Wish she made it deeper on purpose.
Anyways the chemistry is pretty great. Cant wait till the 2 fall for each other.

Villainess thought ML was dying. had ML truly died his wife would be wearing hemp clothes and grieving him. considering villainess mother remarried after her husband death and Lady Wei strongly opposed that, Lady Wei would never let her granddaughter come back to her home. Instead the wife would spent her life forced to grieve a husband she never knew. If u see it from this angle it makes complete sense why she switched with someone else

ML may be the protagonist of the story but he definitely is the villain in FL's story😂😂

remember how Lanxiang found expensive chess set in Miss Du's room. That coupled with the flower incident and how ML told her to keep an eye on her naturally she would be suspicious of Miss Du. She may not think Miss Du caused the epidemic but she wouldnt trust her to deal with it easier. Lanxiang is a naturally cautious person too

FL is the one shining here more with her acting but the ML! his gentle eyes and his soft smiles!!! it keeps getting better and better with each episode. its beautiful reading the unwritten undercurrent b/n the 2. their dynamic is insane. lets see hw long ML keeps it in

i like how the romance is. slow burn well done. first time ML walked into the room FL was in he didnt even notice her existence. now watching him glance at her while she is working makes my heart flutter. i dont think he 'likes' her yet at this stage but u can feel the budding romantic love. much like a seedling beginning to sprout. this is a fresh breath of air from the other cdramas i have watched recently. i cant wait for the episodes where their love blooms. watching it daily has become a torture at this point

ep 11 had me biting my fingers with stress. FL resolved it smartly. Miss Du is quite the cunning woman.

Its not just loan its usury loan which makes it so much worse. She also embezzled his family 's money to run her scheme. People be conveniently forgetting that.

Loving the drama so far. Love how unusual FL character is. The usual FL in historical drama is written to capture people's attention when she enters the room. Here our FL is considered part of the funiture and barely any notable figure in the drama bats an eye at her. Song yun really played hr role well. Timid an fearful for her life. Lowkey gaveme thriller vibes. One mistake can end her and her adoptive prents life and seeing her navigate all this is wonderful. The plot so far is not centered around her which makes it even moreinteresting. It brought the other charaters in the story to life but we have enough look into her going ons and daiky life sothe story dosnt diminish her either.
