KJW and SHS have been my dream pairing for a longtime so i was disappointed when he wasn’t casted as her love interest and then their backstory proved that they indeed have chemistry. Hopefully someone sees the vision and reunites these two in a passionate melodrama. the longing gazes and chemistry killed me in the flashbacks.

i think he wanted to play a versatile chaebol with emotional layers - as expected from KJW - but i agree i don’t like the direction they are taking with his character. i don’t want him hovering around the leads, he deserves better than that. i was happy at the start with him having scenes with hong hwa yeon but even that is limited now. Hopefully it picks up for the last 4 episodes.

i resonate with this a lot. she is a brilliant actress but i feel she needs to do shows that showed her earlier style of acting like 30 but 17, She was Pretty and Legend of the Blue Sea. Her characters are too strong so I’d love to see her play softer, feminine characters which would show a different style to her acting. Regardless she is amazing at her craft and one of the few actresses who eats her male co-stars when it comes to screen presence.

if you want Seo in guk recommendations here’s my review of the projects I’ve watched from him: King of High school - not the most digestible romance but the plot is fun and the drama is hilarious. you’ll enjoy the situational comedy. seo in guk was a treat and Lee soo hyuk was eye candy. 100 million stars - one of his best performances. tragic but beautiful drama. death game: well written, unique concept. amazing performances from the cast and of course Seo in guk. shopping king Louie: similar to king of highschool, he is a bit of a man child here but the leads are so precious and the drama is lots of fun. never a dull moment. squad 38 - well written squad show with great bromance and hinted romance but I won’t say anymore. also has great plot twists which made the show enjoyable. i remember you - amazing thriller with great actors and performances. His best written drama I would say. there is also a slow burn romance in it which I enjoyed. cafe minamdang - not the greatest drama but funny and enjoyable. keeps you guessing who the killer is.

at least in the trailer they seem to have good acting chemistry with the banter? Gong Myung seems to be better at comedic fun characters and I can at least enjoy that side to his acting. Romance wise we’ll have to see I guess.

early character descriptions said Hong hwa yeon is going to develop a serious crush on KJW so I really hope it’s reciprocated. The main 4 actors remind me of the drama ‘no gain no love’ where the second leads outshined the leads and had their own loveline, so I’m praying we get the same here.
