Male lead's personal drama & the scary virus plot put me off ( in 2020)
This was a bit of a fail for me as I watched it in June 2020,during the pandemic & the over arching story of the series was about a horrific killer virus being unleashed. Ugh! Too timely ! At any other time it would feel like fiction. I was a fan of the American series. This one was significantly different & had a distinct K- drama flair to it. I liked the characters &
I liked the actors. I did not like that they spent more than 1 episode on the Male lead's son's health. I get why they did it , but it was too much emotion for me. The male lead came off as a bit of a jerk because he was pretty distant from his wife during & after the son's health issue.
The format of this was different in that it started a new story a bit before the end of each episode. The end of the series was happy but they left a little cliff hanger in case they decide to make a second season. Without the male lead's personal drama & the scary virus plot, I might actually find a second season more interesting !
