Someone knows how is the ending in the novel? Is the ending different from the drama?Thanks in advance.
The novel ending is infinitely better than the butchered tv adaptation as usual. I did not read the whole novel yet as I have only skimmed through the final chapter after getting frustrated with the tv ending. From the final chapter: 1. MC basically lives to a ripe old age at the Tang Dynasty 2. Both the princess and Xin Yue (crown prince's girl) are basically in love with our mc and the family of three lived happily with mc having the chance to raise his own kids as well. From this, i conclude that the tv show had prolly white-washed the crown prince to some extent. Otherwise, there is no way for his girl to fall for our mc in the novel instead 3. MC is much more powerful in the novel, he lived till the next emperor's reign and is basically the pillar of the child emperor 4. All in all, the novel is miles better
