All levels of intimacy stories are important. Just because the characters aren’t progressing as fast as some…
The characters aren’t real but the stories portrayed are there to bring representation to real life topics and matters. Comments are there so that other people can see different opinions and share thoughts. I am not even trying to argue with you but give another perspective. I never said you were against anything. Not every comment that has a different opinion from yours is argumentative or an attack.

I am sharing my comment so that others would see and gain another insight. I also used your post as an opportunity to share that video which I think is an important discussion and a neat perspective.

I’m literally just replying to you lmao you put your opinion out in public and people can respond to that opinion if they want to c’mon. I said if you don’t relate, that’s fine. I just wanted to say that these types of stories are important and good representation for demiromantic people like Achi. Also, I’m just going to put this video here because I think it’s a good counter to the claim that they are not “behaving like actual adults.”

This was my most anticipated series of 2023, I was its biggest cheerleader for 7 episodes. It was sooooo good,…
All levels of intimacy stories are important. Just because the characters aren’t progressing as fast as some would, doesn’t mean they are not acting like adults. The progression fits the story and the characters. If you don’t relate, that’s fine. But plenty of adults are like Achi and it’s important to show these types of stories too.

That's your own opinion. Why don't you write and direct your movie if you ain't pleased with this.Drop the series…
I was wondering about this too since I also thought the rule was unconvincing. However, it seems the writers don’t want Achi to have any insecurities in regards to being in a gay relationship. The convo during their date points this out since Achi explicitly states that he doesn’t care about the fact that he’s dating a guy but that he’s just worried about the company rule.

Actually, I kinda find it interesting that Karan is the one who seems more concerned about it from the way he keeps mentioning how Achi wouldn’t want to be in a relationship with a guy (ie. his thoughts in episode 2 on the rooftop and the date convo in this ep). Maybe he’s the one with the insecurity which could become important later on when they meet each other’s families.

Ok I understand where you are coming from but - as I mentioned in point 4 - P’X said in his twitter space that they added the “no dating” rule to explain why Karan and Achi were keeping their relationship a secret (per the manga) in the more open-minded Thai society.

As for if this was the best way to go about it, it’s up to personal taste. I do think the rule was dumb and to be honest, they could have just ignored the manga in this regard and just let them be public with their relationship. Maybe this episode could have just been focused on their second date. But they went in this direction.. I did find it pretty entertaining though lol but I like makjang dramas so it really is up to personal taste 😆

They are going back to the source material for the next episode which they do great in adapting so I’m not concerned at all about the rest of the series.

Congrats on >800k tweets and #1 worldwide for the hashtag on X! Polcas are amazing 🙌 and it’s also a testament to the quality of the series! P’X and the team have done a great job adapting the manga. TayNew have also taken their roles in stride. Tay convincingly plays a character who is very different from his own personality and has made the audience fall in love with Karan’s sweet and charming antics. I want to applaud New the most though as Achi is probably the most difficult role to play in the series. His versatility as an actor has really come through and he nails Achi’s mannerisms every time. I am very excited for the next episode as it seems KaranAchi are going to grow ever closer before facing another obstacle when Achi gets the chance to work for another branch of the company. LDR is rough for TayNew… Let’s see how hard it is for KaranAchi! 😂

If you want to be proven wrong so badly, I guess I can try.

1. The show has reached the point in the manga where Adachi/Achi gets offered the position at the other branch. There’s 4 more episodes with 40 min of runtime which is more than enough time to cover this part and the rest of the manga. I really don’t know what you’re complaining about in regards to the runtime. I would say they actually have too much time and thus have to add some more plot points to fill up the episodes.

2. What plot points are borrowed from the Japanese adaptation? I just re-watched it and I don’t see any similarities apart from the scenes adapted from the manga. I don’t know if you watch Thai BL dramas but the couple usually gets together by the 7th episode and so that’s more the reason for the pacing which I don’t have a problem with at all. In fact, I wish the show would speed it up more.

3. The manga is extremely short. “Cherry magic has a lot going beyond the parts that got adapted by the Japanese adaptation.” - and the Thai version has adapted those parts. They went on the company trip. They went on Karan’s extravagant first date. What is left is Achi taking up the position at the other branch, KaranAchi taking their relationship to the next step, and them meeting their families. All of these things are going to happen in last quarter of the series. I admit this episode was a filler episode as most have mentioned already.

4. Now, this really is just down to our opinions. I personally don’t have a problem with Achi’s passiveness but he constantly tried to help and told Karan that he wanted to take a part of the responsibility as well but Karan wanted to do this himself not only to prove his point to the boss but also because he wanted to do it for Achi and their relationship per their conversation in the office at night. I agree with you about the boss though but the director P’X mentioned that they added the rule to explain why Karan and Achi were keeping their relationship a secret (as in the manga). Thai culture is different from Japanese culture in the sense that (although there is still homophobia) it is more open to gay couples. Anyways, now that it has been dealt with in this episode, Karan and Achi aren’t going to be a secret anymore in the rest of the series.

5. Again, it’s a matter of opinions. I find Tsuge and Minato unwatchable and always skip their parts when I rewatch the Japanese adaptation. I also don’t care for Rock and Pai but I like SingJan so seeing them together is cute enough for me to not mind their scenes.

Very mature reaction to criticism btw ♥️ I don’t think you realize how ridiculous all your comments sound. Like saying it once is enough but repeating yourself every chance you get is pretty hilarious.

They're on Q5 and it already confirmed? That's a big surprise ❤
It has 30 Qs so pretty normal. Cooking Crush has 26 Qs in comparison. They started filming in June and just finished filming today. So Cherry Magic might finish filming by November or the first ep might air as they are finishing up filming.
