Wu Jin Yan does not even meet the standard to play this role, the only reason she did it is to copy ZLY because…
It’s important to recognize that just because an actress is taking on similar roles doesn't mean she’s trying to emulate another. Wu Jinyan and Zhao Liying are both talented in their own right, and each brings her unique strengths to the characters she portrays. Wu Jinyan’s choice to explore strong, powerful female roles doesn’t diminish her individuality or creativity. If she draws inspiration from Zhao Liying or any other actress, that's valid, as many performers learn from one another. Wu Jinyan has her own distinctive style that sets her apart, and it’s exciting to see her play out different roles in this industry. Let’s not compare the two, it's childish. Also who are you to say someone doesn't meet a standard to play a role? Are you a producer? Have you created various award winning dramas? Really grow up....
I'm so excited for this drama! i love zhang jingyi and zhou yiran so this is a win win for me. Both of these leads acting is so good so i can only imagine how good this show will be
If you want to know the plot of this drama its just a trash man behaving very trashy. I dropped at episode 4 when the ML has his girlfriend over, She is so sweet and has been writing him cute letters every week while he's been a way. Instead of cherishing his time with her what does he do? Oh, just leave her while she's sleeping to go and sleep with his neighbor who is years older than him. Gosh, I've watched cheating dramas before and this one has aggravated me the most. He has no consideration for his girlfriend and honestly he's just one of the most boring male leads i've ever watched.
This drama was doing great up until the last 10-12 episodes boy did it sure turn into a train wreck and made it so hard to finish the drama. That's when we get into the story of her dad and it's just repetitive scenes back and forth. ML had no backbone, and Fl was always switching sides between ML and SML (regardless of feelings for the SML or not) overall it just wasn't my cup of tea
My goodness, it was quite the journey to get through this one. I began watching back in 2016 when it first aired, and it wasn't until 2024 that I finally reached the end, with numerous skips along the way. While some memorable scenes stand out and somewhat lackluster storyline, the music strangely evokes nostalgia for me—particularly "Beautiful" by Crush, which was a personal favorite during its original airing. However, beyond these highlights, this drama falls short. I find the premise of a high school student falling in love with a 900-year-old man rather implausible, and the historical elements drag on excessively with far too many repetitive scenes.
green flags all across the board! loved this drama its very light, cute and romantic. I would say if you're not into slower dramas then this might not be for you but if you want to watch something with depth and meaning it perfect.
Man, this drama took me two years to finish... The first 20 episodes were so cute and the plot was pretty good. The second half of drama had me so bored I wanted to fall asleep and had to force myself to finish. all in all it deserves a 6.5
