ummmm... Dramas that get the attention of even non-Kdrama watchers? From the cast alone, these dramas would reach top 10 trending in platforms such as netflix. I'd say dramas like Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, Crash Landing on You are some to name a few that are loved by a multitude of people regardless if you're new to watching dramas or not.

Well... yeah, you're right. You either love it or hate it. People have different tastes after all. I probably went too far as to say that bad reviews are from bogus watchers, but I did it to emphasize that I really liked this drama.
Not to be mean but I still believe that newbies in the kdrama world would probably not like this drama like yourself. This is especially true when new watchers start off watching very high profile dramas and set unrealistic standards.
"What you see is what you get"; at the end of the day, it is a 'romance' drama as stated in the mydramalist details. If you hated the romance parts because it 'overshadowed' the revenge plot, it would have been better to choose a drama without romance in the first place.
