Having read the book first, I think the adaptation did a really good job. I think the movie was a bit unclear in explaining what actually happened with Wei Lai, but I get that the murder plot in the book was a bit too confusing and convoluted. Still i urge everyone to read the book, because it delves deeper into Chen Nain and Bei’s relationship (it is also filled with fantastic quotes).
I also found it a bit weird how she was so mature and grown-up-like in her 18th life, but suddenly she acts immature…
I totally agree which is a shame because i really love the actors and actresses (the two child actresses are just phenomenal), but unfortunatly they can't make up for the poor writing.
I don't understand the FL's motivation at all, and it really doesn't make sense for her character to be so obsessed with this child. I understand that she wanted to check if he was alive after the car crash, but then stalking him for years afterwards? Like why? We don't get a reasonable explanation for that.
I think they could have done a lot of interesting things with the plot, so I just don't get why they settled on this. I don't find it particularly interesting and as of now I have no reason to root for the MLs to became a couple.
idk I don’t really vibe with it. I don’t understand why she has this deep connection to Seo Ha that is so different from all of the other people in her past lives. He was just some ordinary child, why is he so special?

Dont get me started on the weird age gap. If you have the memories of your past life, you have all your adult memories and experiences, which you know, makes you an adult mentally (hence why she became mature and changed personally when she regained her memories in her 18th life).
Does this have a satisfying ending? or does it like end with a huge cliff hanger? I was thinking of watching it…
it does end on a cliffhanger, but the season is still pretty much tied up at the end. the cliffhanger is more of a teaser for season 2, if that makes sense.
